The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the leaf blower. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog the fuel filter and cause the engine to stall.
Check for a dirty air filter and replace if needed.

A clogged filter limits the amount of cool air that passes over the heat exchanger, causing it to overheat and shut off. At the same time, your blower turns on to help cool it down.

CHOKE – Choke is located on the side of the air cleaner. Move choke lever to “COLD START” ( ) to close choke for cold starting. Move choke lever to “RUN” ( ) position to open choke.

The gas engine on your leaf blower needs to operate at a specific temperature: hot enough to burn the fuel and give the engine power but cool enough not to overheat the piston. An overheating problem in the leaf blower is generally caused by a failure to vent gases or the fuel burning too hot inside the cylinder.

ANSWER : Sounds to me as tho you may have a loose carburetor or another part that is letting air into the system. Check all bolts and screws for tightness. Also, you may need to clean the carburetor or put some cleaner in your gas. Not too much, only about a tablespoon, but check the screws/bolts first.

BLOWER WILL START WITH FULL CHOKE, BUT SHUTS OFF WHEN TRYING TO REDUCE CHOKE.
ANSWER : I’m having the same problem. My suspicion is the carborator requires gas/air mixture adustments. This requires a special carb adjustment tool – called a Long Single D Tool. I will try to have my fixed very soon – 1 week…I’ll try to keep you posted.

Started PB620-ST yesterday with some difficulty. However, ran until fuel empty. Refueled today, but will not start. Spark at plug ok. Fuel flowing, but seems to overflow into air filter compartment. Does not seem to “fire” at all.
ANSWER : Sounds like your flooding the engine; I did the same thing. Wait a while to let the gas drain back to the tank. Use your primer bulb once and your choke for only ONE pull; then shut off the choke. Pull start without the choke 2-3 times and it should start.
