I have a campbell hausenfeld power washer PW2450, the motor works fine, the water only shoots out a small stream of water and does not have pressure. I have checked the hoses for blockages and all screens and everything is clear

The Fuse. If the pressure washer does not start, then the first thing to check is the fuse in the plug. The reading you`re looking for is the same as it would be when connecting the two probes of the multimeter together (as you can see in the example of this video, this fuse is actually fine).
The number one cause of low or no pressure when using a pressure washer is a blocked or worn nozzle. Blocked nozzles will prevent water from escaping, while a worn nozzle will allow too much water to pass through, causing the pressure to drop.

A pressure washer requires water to cool and lubricate the pump, which is the part responsible for pushing water from the supply hose to the nozzle. Without water to cool and lubricate it, the pump will work harder than it should, causing it to wear down quickly.
Connect and Turn On the Pressure Washer
Connect the high-pressure hose to the pressure washer, then turn on the pressure washer and set it to the lowest power setting. Make sure that the nozzle is pointed away from you in the direction of the target surface. Grip the wand and pull the trigger to start spraying.
There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.

ANSWER : If the pressure washer is pulsating then that is a sign of check valve failure. You may be able to clean of replace the check valves. Replacing the head is the wrong way to go. I have used the McCulloch (FH180A) three times over the course of two years. On my fourth use the pressure washer just surged on and off and I would get a tiny spray from the gun each time it surged. In other words it would do nothing. Please help… very frustrated. Thanks
ANSWER : Sounds like the problem could be low input water flow or pressure. There could be crud on the intake where you hook up the garden hose, there could be some other sort of blockage. Try hooking it up to the hose and pull the trigger (with the power switched off) and wait to see if water comes out the tip. Also look at the tip(s) themselves. sometimes a piece of crud gets into the hose and then clogs the tip.

This pressure washer will continue to build pressure when you let off the trigger. I have replaced the hose 3 times because the pump continues to pump until it blows the hose. The pump will not stop pumping!
