The first thing i would check would be the ground wires are nice and tight. If you can get a hold of a volt meter you can start at the battery and check the wires little by little when you get to a spot that had power a second ago but no six inches higher there is your problem. but make sure all conections are tight, grounds are secure, no wires bare wires are crossing i hope i have been helpfulSabiousOne
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
Electric lawnmowers may cut out for two main reasons: A faulty power switch or a loose cable connection. An overheating motor can cause the thermal cut out to trip.
If the riding mower makes a heavy clicking or a rapid clattering sound when the key is turned to the start position, there is a problem with the battery or a part of the starting circuit. The clicking noise comes from a part called the starter solenoid.
The circuit includes a fuse, the ignition switch, brake switch and blade switch. First, check for a blown fuse because you can usually see a blown fuse just by looking at it. The fuse on most riding mowers is connected to the small red wire that connects to the starter solenoid post.

How do I remove the battery from my Black and Decker CMM1200 lawn mower?
I have an older model CMM625, but I suspect that the method is similar. There should be some screws that hold down the upper deck to the lower one. On mine the screws are in the back and there are tabs in the front that holds the upper deck to the lower. Once this is removed, you can see the battery and it’s connections and hold down bracketry.
