First thing to check is that the deck is level by the adjustments on wheels. Then check the bearings in the spindle housings and there is no play in the shaft when you try to move blade up and down. You then can measure from the blade tip bottom of deck on both sides (3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, and then 12 o’clock and 6’o clock They should all be the same. If not then either the shaft is bent, or the deck is bent slightly causing the blade not being parallel to the deck. If you have someone rotate the shaft you should be able to tell if the shaft is bent or not. If the deck is bent, then you will have to straighten it out till the spindle shaft is perpendicular to deck.

Cutting unevenly Changed blades now the tractor cutting the grass unevenly.
ANSWER : Set the mower on a known flat piece of concrete. Now look at the deck and the support connections where the deck hangs from from the mower. Should be adjustments such as pins with clips or threaded bolt hangers which will allow you to raise or lower the corner of the deck which is low or high. Conversely you could have put a blade in upside down or left out a washer making one blade higher than the other. Usually an owner’s manual will detail this process. As you just changed your blades, as opposed to wear and tear, likely you did not put it back together exactly as you took it apart.

I had hit a somewhat hidden stump on the lawn..bending the blade. Took the deck off and replaced the bent blade. Put the deck back on and now the cut seems uneven. It appears that the deck is now uneven. I attempted to follow the directions for a side-to-side leveling. Started with trying to measure the blade height and am struggling with getting to a spot where I can measure the blade on the left side. By looking at the deck, it appears to be uneven. I am struggling with being able to raise the left side of the deck.
ANSWER : I’ve only had luck removeing the deck, turn it upside down. Measure blade, mark, remove blade, insert large pipe over spindle, bend in direction. Re-install blade, and do it all over and over till straight. Measure in several locations.
