What year was my equipment built? The 5th character of our 11 character product serial numbers will indicate the last number of the year that it was manufactured. Since 5th character in the example is a 4, the year of manufacture would be a year ending in 4.
The Model number is eleven characters long and is printed on the left side of the Product Identification Label. Characters can include numbers, letters or hyphens.
The MTD model number can be found on your equipment`s identification tag, located in one of several places on your machine. This tag is approximately 2“ x3“ in size and also includes the product name, customer service address, and phone number.
MTD stands for “month to date.” It`s the period starting from the beginning of the current month up until now … but not including today`s date, because it might not be complete yet.
To Determine Manufacture Date Based on Serial Number: The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture.
To determine the year of manufacture for a tractor with a six digit number use the following formula. Take the first and the fourth digit, and subtract three to get the year. For example, the serial number of 395602 would be: 36-3 = 1933.
➢ The first six numbers of the barcode is the manufacturer`s identification number. The next five digits represent the item`s product code. ➢ The last number is called a check digit which enables the scanner to determine if the barcode was scanned correctly.
The tractor model numbers are comprised of four positions. The first number designates the family while the next three numbers represent the approximate engine horsepower. The fifth and sixth positions are represented by a letter. The first letter indicates the level of capability or price a tractor has.
How to read a tractor serial number list: Tractor serial number lists nearly always show the first tractor built in each year. The other tractors for that year will have successively higher numbers. Your serial number should lie between two of the stated numbers.
A Memory Technology Device (MTD) is a type of device file in Linux for interacting with flash memory. The MTD subsystem was created to provide an abstraction layer between the hardware-specific device drivers and higher-level applications.
MTD – if The date in today`s month and the day of the month is smaller or equal to today then it is MTD. Otherwise it is not. QTD – If the date is on the same serial month* and the day of the date is smaller or equal to the day of today, then it is QTD.
The first letter of the serial number determines the year. The following three numbers determine what day of that year the trolling motor was made. Example 092 is April 2nd.
When shopping for used snow blowers, invariably, they are older than they appear. It is hard to distinguish age. However, the Build Date (or DOM) on various machines can be found on the product label.

How do you remove the ignition coil? I can remove the bolt quite easily, but how do you remove the post which secures the other end of the coil?
