The PTO (or power take-off) belt is part of a pulley system that operates the blades on your riding lawn mower. It runs off the electric clutch system in your engine. If you hear squealing during operation or see dry rot on your PTO belt, you may need to replace it.
If the PTO clutch is not getting power, if the clutch solenoid is defective, or if the clutch is worn out, the lawn mower blades will not engage. The PTO clutch is not repairable—if the clutch is defective, you must replace it. Need help finding your model number? The PTO switch provides power to the PTO clutch.
Power take-off (PTO) is a device that transfers an engine`s mechanical power to another piece of equipment. A PTO allows the hosting energy source to transmit power to additional equipment that does not have its own engine or motor.
In PTO clutch brakes, torque is generated by attracting the armature and rotor to each other via a series of magnetic flux paths. The animation shows how this is created and how torque is transferred in a PTO clutch brake.
PTO is the time that employees can take off of work while still getting paid regular wages. This does not include times in which an employee is working remotely or telecommuting. Often, PTO policies combine vacation, sick, and personal days.
Powershift PTO engagement problems could be from blocked hoses or fittings, bad connections or ground or the solenoid. Mechanical PTO engagement problems could originate from low air pressure, improper cable installation or back lash too tight.
This operation is crucial to the overall functioning of riding mowers, and thus PTO clutch repair may need to be immediately performed on riding mower models that have a failed clutch. Fortunately, you can fix your clutch irrespective of your experience with PTO clutch installation.
PTO clutches generally overheat because of improper lubrication/greasing (both too much and too little can cause problems), excessive sideload, or a new installation. Operators are advised to reduce sideload and inspect grease levels first.
An employee can then use the PTO hours to take vacations, stay home when sick or when a child is sick, or take care of appointments during work time or other personal reasons.
If they`re talking specifically about vacation days, then 10-20 days of paid vacation is very good. You`ll be getting anywhere between two and four weeks off work per year, all of which is paid – and it doesn`t include sickness or holidays! In conclusion, it is normal to receive around 10 vacation days per year.
Paid time off is an important part of balancing a fulfilling work and personal life. By offering your employees PTO, you can show them how much you truly care about their well-being and the future of your business. Lead by example and take time off whenever you need a break or aren`t feeling your best.

Replaceing mower deck belt on 20 hp 42 mower model no 917275660. Got the belt on. How do I get the cluch spring back on.
ANSWER : Are you refering to the spring attached to the end of the cable that runs up to the lever on the dash to engage the blades? All you needed to disconnect was that cable on top of the idler arm that’s held in place by a ‘hairpin’ and the left pulley cover to put the belt on.

Blades will not engage, belt not broke but is very old, do I need new one?
ANSWER : Check if the belt is loose. With the engine off, try to pull the mower deck belt around by hand. If you can pull it easily, and the blades don’t turn, then replace the belt. If it’s hard to pull, and you can see the blades try to turn as you pull it, then your problem probably isn’t the belt, but the PTO clutch or mower engage switch.
