Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Hello,

First thing to check would be your air filters make sure not blocked as this will act as the choke if blocked and will flood the engine,

If all is well remove plug and remove as much excess fuel as possible with compressed air etc, then reassemble and see if it will fire,(With full throttle and NO CHOKE) you may have to repeat this a couple of times…

Once you get the engine to fire it may geep running if the engine was just flooded otherwise if the engine floods again then you will most likely have a problem in your carby mabie a piece of rubbish under the needle valve holding it open causing the engine to flood and the carby will have to be cleaned and tank flushed

Good luck with it hope this helps!!!!

Kind regards
Brad

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Check the fuel valve and make sure it is open, and that the choke and engine stop switch are set to on. If any of these settings are wrong, then the engine won`t start. Check the oil level next. Low oil can cause the engine to not start in order to protect it from further damage.
The Engine Won`t Start

Start by checking whether the water pump currently has enough fuel to run properly and consistently. If the fuel tank isn`t full, add fresh, unleaded gasoline and try starting the engine a second time. If the problem persists, consider checking and changing the water pump`s controls.

Check to see if the switch and terminals are free from rust and replace any damaged or broken spark plugs wires as necessary. Alternatively, it could be a bad ignition module. A simple way of testing the ignition module is to leave the car idling for 30 minutes and then tap the ignition module with a screwdriver.
When your engine cranks but won`t start or run, it could mean your engine is having trouble producing a spark, getting fuel, or creating compression. The most common causes are problems in the ignition (for example, a bad ignition coil) or fuel system (for example, a clogged fuel filter).
The most common reason cars don`t start is a dead or faulty battery. Even though most cars run on gasoline, they all require electrical power to function. The starter that cranks your engine to start requires an electrical signal to fire. If something`s wrong with your battery, your car engine won`t turn over.
Check for Power. The first and most obvious thing to do when your compressor won`t start is to make sure that the unit is receiving power. It is always possible that a fuse has been blown or that a breaker has been tripped. If such issues occur regularly, you should have an electrician take a look.
The motor won`t start

Check for blown fuses or a tripped circuit breaker. If the problem is intermittent, it could be dirty or corroded fuse receptacles. Next, check the voltage at the contact points for the pressure switch. Debris or corrosion can cause irregular voltage.

Inspect your breaker box and see if the breaker has tripped, and if it has, then reset it and you should restore power to the pump. If the breaker trips again, then there is an electrical or mechanical issue with the water pump, which will require a professional plumber. Ensure the “on” switch is engaged.
