How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The types of micro switches include: plunger, spring plunger, short spring, panel mount, leaf spring, leaf lever, roller leaf spring, and so on. The types of limit switches are whisker, roller, lever limit, and plunger.
Choose a microswitch based on its electrical ratings. Different switches have different limits for how much electrical current they can handle, and you need these elements to match to ensure the proper operation of your application.
The feed wire (the hot wire coming from the service panel) runs to the switch before it goes to the fixture. Two cables enter the switch box: one supplying power and one going to the fixture. The neutral wires are spliced, and a black wire connects to each switch terminal. (Ground wires are not shown.)
MICRO SWITCHâ„¢ V-Basic series switches are often best suited for presence and absence detection where physical contact with an object is permissible. They also excel in applications requiring simple on-and-off actions. Amp rating 0.1 A to 25 A Circuitry SPDT, SPNO, SPNC Operating force 0.7 oz max. to 14.6 oz max.
Three-way wire(which includes red, black and white wires) runs from the switch on the left to the switch on the right, with the white wire carrying ground and the red and black wires carrying the output from terminals in the left switch. Normal sheathed cable runs from the right switch to the light.
A three-wire circuit is accomplished by connecting two 120 V sources in a series-aiding configuration. The conductor taken from the common point between the two sources is called the neutral conductor. Conductors taken from the two outer points are called the line or hot conductors.
Microswitches can control electrical devices, such as motors, lights, relays, and sensors. Microswitches are also used in robotics, where they are typically called actuators because they provide motion instead of turning on and off. One example is a microswitch attached to a robot arm.
What Does a Microswitch Do? The main job is to turn on or off the flow of electricity in an electrical circuit. These devices are used in all types of equipment, from kitchen appliances to sophisticated industrial machines.

Old dimmer switch has 2 black wires, one is attached to another black wire & the other is attached to a white wire. The new dimmer switch, Pass & Seymour legrand R600-PIV has 3 wires, 2 black & 1 green. How do I know which black wire from the new switch gets connected to the electrical box black wire & which one gets attached to the white wire & what do I do with the green wire?
ANSWER : Hi,If the directions didn’t give you specific connections, look at the color of the stranded wire inside the insulation. If one is gold and one silver, the gold goes to the black incoming, the silver to the white incoming, and the green is ALWAYS ground. If both of your stranded wires from the dimmer switch are silver, either can be connected to the black and white. Green is always ground.I hope this helps. If it does, I’d appreciate your vote. Thanks for visiting fixya.comHandie andie
