The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture.

The Cub was initially designated the Farmall X, and was to use a two-cylinder engine. Development started in July, 1943, changing to a four-cylinder engine. A prototype was built by December 1944.

ANSWER : Behind the dash panel at top of dash there is only one fuse
No Gas In Carb
ANSWER : The solniod on the bottom of bowl closes with no power so when you turn the unit off the plunger extends cutting fuel off. So by unplugging it the plunger is still entended cutting off fuel. I think you may need a new solenoid on bowl. You can also bench test the solenoid with a battery to double check.
Lever to lower and lift blade deck doesn’t work. looks like mechanism that you push in on lever lost a bolt or something. deck doesn’t lift or lower

Cub cadet 1050 changed oil now its wants me to change oil again and it smokes really bad now to much oil or too little
ANSWER : The 1050 holds 57.5 oz slightly less than 2 qts 64 oz. the filler stick is marked. shiould be over the add mark not over the full mark
