Model and serial numbers are used to identify a specific product. The model number differentiates between models of devices—for example, iPhone® 13 and iPhone X. Many devices can share a model number, which means they`re the same model. But every device has its own unique serial number, sometimes abbreviated as S/N.
Model and Type Numbers
Model numbers distinguish a manufacturer`s models for a certain kind of tool within a given tool category (like drill/drivers and nailers). For example, two different power sander designs from the same brand would be distinguished by having two different model numbers.
At this point in time, most power tool manufacturers claim you should expect to get over 1,000 charge cycles out of any given battery. That equates to 2.7 years if you charge your pack once per day or 3.8 years if you only factor in a 5-day week.
The typical auto warranty coverage is 3 years/36,000 miles. That means the warranty would cover needed repairs in the first 3 years you own your car or for the first 36,000 miles you drive it, whichever comes first.
You may find the battery part number and battery serial number on the main battery label and/or small labels located on the side of battery pack. * On certain battery packs the battery part number is printed in small lettering.
The 1st two digits of the serial number are letters with the remaining 10 digits being numbers. The date code is on a label located on the back side of the battery. The code is one letter, followed by one number. The letter is code for the month.

A model number, or product number, is a unique identifier that distinguishes a specific product from others of the same type.
Model numbers are not unique in the fact that the same model number can be used across different branded units. However, there will only ever be one combination of a specific brand and model number.
Lithium-ion batteries last for 15–20 years, 3 times longer than the 5–7 years for lead-acid batteries.
For context, the standard 4.0 Ah 18V battery provides me with approximately 27-28 min in my mower.
All ryobi one+ tools will work with any ryobi one+ battery. You can mix and match old NiCad batteries with new brushless tools or old blue tools with beefy new batteries. A full warranty may be active for just a limited time after the item is purchased, perhaps 60 or 90 days, or it may cover the product “for life” (the same goes for limited warranties).
The lifetime warranty is valid for as long as you own the product. This type of lifetime warranty is more common with high-quality companies and manufacturers that have been in business for a long time. Your product will be covered under warranty for as long as you own it, whether it be five or fifty years.
Batteries with different capacities cannot be used together as a battery pack. But if it is a single battery with the same nominal voltage, it can theoretically be used interchangeably. Therefore, using 6 Ah batteries instead of 4 Ah is allowed with the same voltage and the same battery material.
Check battery life & use
Open your phone`s Settings app. Under Battery, see how much charge you have left, and about how long it will last. For details, tap Battery. For a graph and list of battery use, tap Battery usage.
Q: Do batteries expire? A: Yes, all good things must come to an end. To find the Best If Used By (BIUB) date of the batteries in question, please look on the uppermost section of the cells, near the battery type (AA, 9V, etc.). You will see a white box with the Best If Used By year printed within it.
The first character will be a number from zero through nine that corresponds to the last digit in the year in which the battery was manufactured. For example, a five would mean 2015. The second character is a letter that refers to the month the battery was made.
