How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

While the check engine light can definitely be indicative of serious problems, the most common cause of the flashing is usually an engine misfire. There are many reasons why an engine misfire might be occurring. To run smoothly, an engine must be receiving the correct amount of power from the cylinders in your vehicle.
If the check engine light flashes for a while then stops, it is indicative of a minor issue. Such failures are usually soft failures. A soft failure is an issue such as a loose wire that disconnects and connects.
Low oil pressure is a common cause of a check engine light turning on, and it can seriously interfere with your car`s performance. Usually, if this is the case, your oil light will also appear.
The answer is – yes! Worn spark plugs can cause your vehicle`s check engine light to illuminate, indicating an issue. It may even be a flashing check engine light. This is because bad spark plugs can cause your engine to misfire, which will trigger the check engine light to turn on.
The most common causes of misfires are worn, improperly installed, and mishandled spark plugs, malfunctioning ignition coils, carbon tracking, faulty spark plug wires and vacuum leaks.
One of the engine issues that can cause the check engine light to come on or flash is a dirty or malfunctioning fuel injector. This light can indicate an issue within the fuel injection system or GDI System.
A failed O2 sensor is the most common cause of a flashing check engine light. The O2 sensor is a critical part of the exhaust system, monitoring how much unburned oxygen is exiting the engine in the exhaust. The sensor sends messages back to the engine to adjust the mix of oxygen and fuel being used.
There is no set time limit, as the severity of the problem can vary. However, it is generally not advisable to drive for more than a few miles with a flashing check engine light. If possible, have the vehicle towed to a repair facility rather than driving it so that you do not put yourself or others at risk.

Can I add an hour meter to my Crafstman 917.289340 lawn tractor with the 22 HP Kohler engine? Found a part #401763 for a different model Craftsman. Will it work?
ANSWER : Yes, you need to find a wire that is hot (12vdc) when the engine is running, tap into this wire and hook to the positive side of the hour meter and the other will be a ground. This will keep track of engine hours only. If you want complete total hours, any hot wire with the switch on will work.
