#4 (1/8″ Diameter) and #4-1/2 (9/64″ Diameter) rope is used on most chain saws and larger 2-cycle engines.
Since they don`t use batteries, they need to be plugged in at all times. Many people prefer corded electric chainsaws because they are more powerful, durable, and reliable than cordless battery-operated options. They`re also more eco-friendly, less smelly, and easier to maintain than gas-powered chainsaws.
A gas-powered saw will run out of fuel. If having a steady, uninterrupted power supply is important to you, a corded chainsaw is a logical choice. You might not be able to walk as far across your property, but as long as your saw remains plugged into an outlet, you can keep cutting.

The higher the voltage, typically, the more cells that are in the battery pack. So when comparing a 40V pack to a 20V pack, in most cases the 40V pack will have more cells which means more power capacity available.
For most common applications, use a cord numbered 5 (5/32-inches), 5½ (11/64-inches), or 6 (3/16-inches).
A pullstring (pull string, pull-string), pullcord (pull cord, pull-cord), or pullchain (pull-chain, pull chain) is a string, cord, or chain wound on a spring-loaded spindle that engages a mechanism when it is pulled.
