Generally, this occurs when the charger does not receive a signal from the batteries, in other words there is a break in the connection between the charger and batteries.
Occasionally, the charger might show blinking red right to indicate bad batteries. There are several ways to restore batteries that cannot be charged by the charger. If the light blinks red within five seconds after battery insertion, then the battery voltage is too high.
If it is flashing RED, then the battery has died.
If the red light continues to flash, then either the battery voltage is too low (less than 3 volts) or the output alligator clips or ring terminals are not connected correctly. battery is connected properly and the charger is charging the battery.
What do I do if my lithium battery not charging? In the use of lithium batteries, it should be noted that self-discharge will exhaust the battery power, when the capacity is below the normal value, resulting in the battery power is too low to charge.
Swelling: When a lithium battery fails, another common sign is battery swelling. If your battery looks swollen, you should stop using it immediately. Similar signs include any type of lump or bulge, or leakage from the device. Noise: Failing lithium batteries have also been reported to make hissing or cracking sounds.
Return the battery into the lithium-ion charger and give it a full charge, which should take around 3 hours depending on what type of Li-ion battery you are reconditioning. Some chargers automatically progress from recovery mode to charging, so on these devices you can just leave the battery in place throughout.
Lithium-ion batteries contain metals such as cobalt, nickel, and manganese, which are toxic and can contaminate water supplies and ecosystems if they leach out of landfills. Additionally, fires in landfills or battery-recycling facilities have been attributed to inappropriate disposal of lithium-ion batteries.
RED & GREEN ALTERNATING LIGHTS: When the red and green lights alternate, then either the 72- Hour Safety Timer has been activated or the battery is defective.
Red and green lights both flashing

Either the battery pack or charger is defective. Try to repeat the conditions a second time by removing and refitting the battery. If the error persists, try charging a different battery.

A red light comes on to indicate fast charging of the battery. After fast charge is done, the light turns green and the remaining 3 hour charge becomes a trickle charge, optimizing battery performance.
Battery icon turns red when your phone`s battery saver is turned on. Try turning battery saver off and see if the battery icon will change color. Go to settings > battery > battery saver > off.
Lithium. Non-rechargeable lithium batteries are the longest lasting primary battery. They can have a shelf life of 10-12-years when stored at room temperature. The shelf life can be determined by the battery`s manufacturing process and chemical composition.
Before the battery is used again, recharge it (top it up) prior to use. The battery must not be left for longer than 2-months without charging as this could invalidate your warranty. It is not recommended to leave an uncharged battery for extended periods as this may reduce the potential maximum capacity.
If your battery flashes 15 times, it means your e-cig is being over-used and that you should take a break.
10 blinks. The most common reason for this is a low battery. However, low voltage can also cause this. Low voltage is usually a result of connection issues; a common side-effect of dirt build-up.

Though my Worx WG781 cordless 36V, 19 inch lawn mower came with what appeared to be a fully charged battery according to the battery LED lights , it is suggested that it be put on the charger “over night” to insure a complete charge. The charger LED light is supposed to flip from red to green when charging is complete. The battery has been charging for nearly 12 hours and the LED light on the charger remains red. Is this normal?
ANSWER : I have a different problem. When I try to charge my batter, the red light comes on for about 2 seconds, then goes out. The battery is not charging. Out of frustration I purchased a new charger, and it does the same thing. Thinking the battery was the problem, Worx sent me a new battery, but the exact same thing happens regardless of which charger is hooked up to either battery. The red light comes on for a couple of seconds, and then goes out. Any suggestions appreciated.
