When you leave the mower out when it`s raining, the spark plugs will come in contact with water. This means they won`t manage to supply power to the engine allowing you to start the mower. That is why it is crucial to monitor the plugs once in a while to ensure that they are operational.
Broken, damaged or corroded wire. Timing. Improper spark plug gap. Faulty ignition coil.
You should never leave your electric lawn mower out in the rain. Water can seep in through openings in electric lawn mowers that can cause connectors and the battery to malfunction and erode.
This can happen when the mower has been left outside during heavy rains. Moisture can prevent the spark from going off, so you may need to check the spark plug and clean it from any moisture or condensation. Clean and dry the spark plug thoroughly and use a little sandpaper to get rid of any residue if necessary.
Loss of spark is caused by anything that prevents coil voltage from jumping the electrode gap at the end of the spark plug. This includes worn, fouled or damaged spark plugs, bad plug wires or a cracked distributor cap.
Causes of a carbon-fouled spark plug include a dirty air filter, excessive driving at low speeds, too rich of a fuel/air mixture, dirty fuel injectors or idling your vehicle for too long.
An engine that`s getting gas and not starting probably has a flooded carburetor or cylinder soaked with gasoline. Often your nose can make the diagnosis: Flooded engines reek of unburned fuel. Park the mower on level ground, and wait about 15 minutes for the gas to evaporate.
No, you should not use a lawn mower in the rain. It will almost always yield poor cutting results and potentially damage your lawn mower. Moisture is problematic for the mowers metal parts, its fuel tank, and parts of its engine.

Lawn mower cranck but wont start…
Since you already checked for spark and air I would drain all the fuel out of it and check that fuel for water. Over time some lawn mowers end up with contaminated fuel. You can see the water sitting on the bottom of the fuel if you let it stand for a bit in a small plastic bowl.
Be sure to empty and dry out you fuel can as well. Especially if the mower stopped running right after a refuel. Which is a good sign your gas can is contaminated too.
