How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

If the tire pressures are different on each side, it can cause one side of the mower to engage less than the other. To fix this problem, you must inspect if both tires have the same pressure using a tire gauge. Once you verify that they`re unmatched, you must inflate the tires with the necessary pressure.
Why is My Zero Turn Mower Weak on One Side? Your zero turn mower is weak on one side because of one or more of many reasons: traction adjustment being wrong, dragging drum brake, bad dampers, incorrect balance, tire compression does not match, or there is air trapped in the hydrostatic motor.
Zero-turn mowers look a lot different than traditional riding mowers. You control the steering with levers on each side, rather than a steering wheel. While zero-turn mowers may look challenging to drive, they`re really very easy. The advantages are speed, responsive control, and tight turning radius.
The drive wheels of a zero turn mower are controlled by two independent wheel motors. The ability for one wheel of the mower to turn forward while the other wheel moves in reverse is what allows the mower to turn in a zero-degree radius. Operators can make the wheels move in the same or different directions.
Whenever the blade is engaged, it rotates on a crankshaft to cut the grass. But if there is interference in this rotation, the engine can overload and shut off or lose power.
Friction Disc Transmission: Easily change speeds in rough conditions. Power Steering: Maneuverability is a breeze with the trigger controlled power steering to guide you in harsh conditions.
Husqvarna`s Full Synthetic 10W-30 4-Stroke engine oil is a premium oil blend designed for tough, commercial use. Ideal for tractors, commercial zero turn mowers and commercial walk behind mowers.
Zero-Turn Mowers: Purge Your Hydraulic Drive System. Zero turn hydrostatic transmission problems can start with air in the system, a condition known as cavitation. When the pump is full of air instead of oil, it can`t generate the pressure needed to provide power. This is pretty common in zero-turn mower transmissions.
The average life expectancy of one of these commercial grade engines is usually 3,500 hours with oil change intervals of 50 hours. Typically at 2,800 you can start to notice a lack in power, usually do to low compression.
Sharpening or replacing the mower blades is also the answer if grass tips look ragged or tattered instead of cleanly cut. Blade vibration also causes an uneven cut. To eliminate vibration, replace unbalanced blades and worn mandrels. Replace a worn blade belt because a worn belt won`t spin the blades correctly.
Worn or broken blade drive belt – If the riding mower blades are not spinning, the blade drive belt may be worn or broken and unable to engage the blades. If the belt is intact, inspect it to see if it`s loose or slipping on the pulleys then replace it with a new one if necessary.
