Won’t shut off wher trigger is released

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

If you cannot shut off the water from the trigger wand and there are no known issues with the unloader valve, there is likely an issue with the wand itself. The trigger wand has a mechanism inside of it so that when the trigger is released, the flow of water is blocked.
The issue is that the machine is losing pressure due to it passing water, dropping the pressure which is causing it to fire back up to pressure again. Usually it is water passing through a worn gun trigger. Hold the gun up and see if water constantly drips out of the lance when it`s firing up constantly.
If your pressure washer is refusing to work or even turn on, the culprit could potentially be the power switches. Most pressure washers use two micro switches that disconnect both the live and neutral connections between the supply and the motor. These switches can jam cutting the power out from reaching the motor.
PLEASE NOTE: You should always press the RESET button on the GFCI before using the pressure washer.
No matter how powerful your pressure washer might be, it`s never a good idea to leave your machine running for too long because doing so will increase the risk that it will overheat. Instead, most professionals suggest using a pressure washer in intervals of three to five minutes.
Broken or fallen latches

This is the number one cause of most difficulties closing washer doors. Visually inspect the latches to confirm that there is no debris coming in the way of closing. In case of dirt and debris, be sure to clean accordingly before trying to close again.

Each time the power cord is plugged in to an outlet, the Reset button on the GFCI module must be pressed down to connect to electricity. Check to see if the Reset button has been pressed. Next, confirm the small plastic window below the Reset button shows RED in the window.
How Do I Tell If My Unloader Valve is Bad? In most occurrences, the first symptom of an unloader valve going bad is no pressure from the wand when the trigger is pressed. This happens when the unloader valve gets stuck open and does not allow water to enter the hose and trigger.

Machine Type: Gas pressure washers can typically run for about 30 minutes before they need a break. Electric models can usually go for an hour or more. If you`re using a hot water pressure washer, you`ll need to give it breaks more frequently – about every 15 minutes.
Pressure washers operate under pressure, and that pressure needs to be released by pulling the trigger. If you let the machine run for two minutes or longer without spraying water, then you could damage the pump.
It Can Harm The Unit

Without water to cool and lubricate it, the pump will work harder than it should, causing it to wear down quickly. This can happen even with just a few seconds of running the pressure washer without the water being turned on. However, the pump is not the only part that takes damage.

Every time you finish a load in your washer, keep the door open instead of closing it — yes, even if you`re not using it. Gazzo says the fresh air will cause the water to evaporate faster, ultimately ensuring your washer stays dry and mold-free and your clothes smell the way you want them to.
These include an incoming power problem, a damaged power cord, a malfunctioning door lid switch or lock, a defective user control board or timer, a broken drive belt, or a faulty or obstructed drain pump.

The switch allows you to run the machine either as a cold-water pressure washer or turn the switch for Hot Water Cleaning.

1750 psi Electric Pressure Washer: My pressure washer is losing pressure and is pulsa…
ANSWER : If the pressure washer is pulsating then that is a sign of check valve failure. You may be able to clean of replace the check valves. Replacing the head is the wrong way to go. This is completely unnecessary. If you can tell me the model number of your pressure washer then I can assist you better in pointing you in the right direction.

Soap feed The soap feed hose on my Karcher 2650 does not suck up the soap into the washer. I pulled off the connector piece that the hose is connected to. I can blow through the hose. There is a little metal finger thing that you can tell pushes up into place when the water pressure is high. It seems like it is supposed to drop down and allow some soap through when the water is running. I found a loose(attached to nothing) gasket, looks like a little donut. It was just free floating in there. I’m thinking it may go over the finger mechanism. I just put it back on top of the finger, like a halo and put the screw in piece back in. Anyway, if you know, let me know how all that goes together.

I have a Karcher B402 Pressure Washer and when i plug it in and turn it on – nothing happens, not a sound. I have checked the fuse and the plug itself and this did not help. I contacted a service technician and they said it would cost £45/hr to have a look and it probably wasn’t worth fixing! Is there anything i can try to narrow down the problem/fix it myself. Any ideas what might have gone wrong? Sorry i can’t give you more info. Cheers
