The number one cause of low or no pressure when using a pressure washer is a blocked or worn nozzle. Blocked nozzles will prevent water from escaping, while a worn nozzle will allow too much water to pass through, causing the pressure to drop.
If your pressure washer is refusing to work or even turn on, the culprit could potentially be the power switches. Most pressure washers use two micro switches that disconnect both the live and neutral connections between the supply and the motor. These switches can jam cutting the power out from reaching the motor.
Pressure may decrease if your packing is worn out or if there are abrasives or severe cavitation (bubbles) in the pumped fluids. This can be caused by an inadequate amount of water and/or a lack of proper filtration. To fix, install the proper filter.
Clogged carburetors or air filters can cause a pressure washer not to start. If your pressure washer won`t start, you can also check for a clogged carburetor or air filter.
If the pressure washer does not start, then the first thing to check is the fuse in the plug. The reading you`re looking for is the same as it would be when connecting the two probes of the multimeter together (as you can see in the example of this video, this fuse is actually fine).
How Do I Tell If My Unloader Valve is Bad? In most occurrences, the first symptom of an unloader valve going bad is no pressure from the wand when the trigger is pressed. This happens when the unloader valve gets stuck open and does not allow water to enter the hose and trigger.
There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.

Not my drill. its my dads, but i need to know how to swith drill bits. its a keyless drill so i know i dont need one. i just dont know how to do it
ANSWER : Grab the outside of the chuck and twist by hand. that should do it. (don’t turn it on while doing this)

The spring fell off the throttle and I dont know how it is supposed to be reattached
ANSWER : Go to any Briggs and Stratton dealer and they will print you off a schematic to show you where and how it attaches.

I know this is a pretty old thread. But I have a 2004 Husqvarna 359 and it does the same thing. Has anyone found the cause of the problem yet. It seems to die from lack of fuel or too lean of a mixture only when the saw is hot. I have : removed the cylinder and found it to be scored very bad, i replaced the cylinder and piston, replaced the fuel filter, removed the carb and checked for debris, new spark plug, new air filter, changed fuel to a 32:1 just to see, all to no avail. I dont know how to test the ignition module, and I dont know if there is a way to test the cranck shaft seals. If any one can give me advise from here it would be greatly appreciated. Hoped Dolf would chime in.

My dog tore out some wires on lt1000 17.5 hp ridng mower. inow have it wired so it will start and run,but have one wire i dont know where it goes. from the ignition switch the blue is hot the black im not sure. there is an orange wire that i assume keeps the battery charged just dont know where it goes. after mowing mower will not restart. is there a wiring diagram?
ANSWER : Orange wire goes on the A2 terminal on back ignition witch.

I have a craftsman 5/23 trac drive snowblower with 10″ impeller 8 speed it is over 10 years old but runs great. anyhow i blew a belt for the impeller so i decided to replace both while i was in there during the bely install i knocked of a spring and dont know where it goes I do know that it is the spring that comes from the “tensioner ” for the crankshaft belt but where the other end gets reattached i do not know. Can you help ?

I have a bolens tractor that I think the coil is bad.It is not getting any spark.I dont know how to change the coil.I can not even see the coil.It is a 16 hp v twin that is a side shaft.The model # is 402437 type is 0666 01.I dont know where to begin.
ANSWER : Before you jupm to the conclusion that the coil is bad lets look at all the safety systems.

All of the itmes below will ground the ignition.

1. The oil level sensor. Check to make sure the oil is filled to full capacity. Service it if necessary. Check for spark after servicing. If there is still no spark disconnect ONE wire from the oil level sensor and check for spark again. If you have spark at that point the oil level sensor is bad. (Don’t forget to reconnect the wire if it is NOT defective or you replace the sensor.)

2. The seat has a safety switch that is only actuated when there is a user sitting on the seat. Make sure there is someone sitting on the seat when checking for spark. If you still have no spark disconnect the seat safety switch connector and check for spark.

3. The attachment drive switch Item 11 of above link can also cause the no spark problem if it is internally grounded.

4. The engine has an electronic ignition coil located under the flywheel. Any ground of the coil lead (black wire) from coil to oil sensor can also cause the no spark condition.

I have a toro recycler lawn mower that was made in 2005 according to the sn. it wont start. we have tore it down to check everything but still nothing. It has spark. after pulling a few times we check the spark plug and it is wet with gas. so it is getting gas. we have the air filter off checked the carburator, seems fine. there is compression, I dont know how to check to see if it has enough but it seems as though there should be enough to at least start. we had it going for about 2 seconds once but nothing sense then. Im lost and dont know what to do next. It is a second hand mower so I am not even sure if all of the parts are there and on right but everything seems to be correct. I have checked the parts list. It is a tecumseh engine 6.5 hp. any help you can give I would be grateful for. thank you in advance.

I have a gilson snowthower#5513445752 I dont know the year. I am looking for the manual because I cant get it started. it turns over but dont start
ANSWER : This probably has a B&S L-Head engine. If the engine is manufactured before 1981 then has a point and breaker system that needs to be check. First check and see if you getting any spark on the plug. No spark then ignition system is down. If you are then try a little starter fluid in the carb when cranking. If engine starts and dies then you have carb problems. If you spark and starter fluid does not start engine then a compression problem ie. stuck valve, blown head gasket or stuck rings.
