Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Need to be sure the center mating between the outside key unit and the internal knob unit is aligned properly.
Not knowing the brand or model, can’t say for sure, but there should be a long shaft of sorts that needs to set properly for the key to turn the bolt.
My suggestion would be to take both sides off the door, play with the alignment and be sure the key works then reassemble trying to follow the same alignment procedure.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
If you can turn the key but the lock isn`t turning it is probably because there is an issue with the lock`s mechanism system. In cases like these, the lock may need to be removed or replaced. There could also be a misalignment issue or trouble with your lock cylinder.
First, try lubrication. A lubricant can help your key all over and penetrate into the lock to loosen whatever is making them stuck. Spray lubricant will typically do the trick. If you can`t find any, WD-40 works as well.
One of the first symptoms of a possible problem with the door lock relay are door locks that function intermittently. If the door lock relay has any internal or wiring issues, it can cause the door locks to function intermittently. The door locks may function correctly one moment, and in the next will cease to operate.
Put a little amount of graphite powder inside the door lock to ease any friction inside, making sure not to put in too much. You`ll also want to put some of the powder onto both sides of the door key. If you don`t have any graphite powder you can use a pencil.

Mower won’t start
ANSWER : This may sound stupid but don’t mean it to…
Have you tried with the choke all the way open? Do you have an automatic cruise? Is the right (correct) pedal being pushed in? These will affect if it starts or not. Also if your drive belt or one of the other belts not being tight enough will affect if it starts or just turns over. Not too many things can stope it from starting with new/good battery AND if its getting gas. Try cleaning your gas line and obviously making sure there is no obstruction around or near your blade, if it does start with blade engaged that is :))
If it doesn’t start with blade engaged, well make sure it’s in neutral. Mine won’t start in reverse but will in forward or neutral.
Hope it helps.

Today, purchased a Schlage security set-keyed 2 sides home security set that supposedly includes an F-51 series self re-keyable entry door knob.
Have self-re-keyed deadbolt to match previously purchased sets, but the F-51 does not allow me to re-key to match my other sets.
Per instructions, should use re-keying key to turn lock 30 degrees left to an 11 o’clock position, remove, insert re-keying key from previous sets, turn back to 12 o’clock position and remove. Latch should be re-keyed at that point.
F-51 does not allow re-keying key to be removed at the 11 o’clock position, nor any position except the 12 o’clock.
The objective is to have 1 key to open 3 deadbolts and 3 F-51 style door locks. For the 3 deadbolts, mission accomplished. For 2 of the 3 F-51’s, mission accomplished.
Label on box: FB52NSK V PLY 505 605 CN; Function Security Set-Keyed 2 Sides; Style Plymouth Knob; Finish Lifetime Bright Brass\Bright Brass..
Instructions say do not return to store of purchase.

Overhead light will not come on when door is opened
ANSWER : Press and hold the Lock button until the light blinks (about 10 seconds). A single blink indicates that the timer is reset to 1 1/2 minutes. Repeat the procedure and the light will blink twice, resetting the time to 2 1/2 minutes. Repeat again for a 3 1/2 minute interval, etc. up to a maximum of four blinks and 4 1/2 minutes.
When the door opens it slams into the unit I did adjust it almost all the way out and it still slams
ANSWER : Are you sure you are adjusting the limit controls and not the force controls.. depending on the age of the opener the limits controls are on the side and the force controls are on the back and they are blue. If you are adjusting the limits and nothing is changing you then either have a bad limit rack or circuit board. I just changed out a rack a little bit ago.
Schlage Secure key deadbolt is seized up. The reset key will not move at all in the lock. It is supposed to move 30 degrees to the left to reset the lock. It worked once. We have been using our front door that has different locks because we cannot get this lock to work. It is frustrating.
None of the keys work in the lock. They do not turn.
How do you “un-seize” these locks?
ANSWER : The best way to free up a lock is with graphite powder. Give it a good dose (put down some newspaper first to catch any falling particles) and “puff” it in. Do this several times, working the key between times and after. If it is still stubborn, loosen the interior bolts that hold the halves together. Loosen just enough so that the halves can re-orient themselves slightly (called “wiggling in”). You’ll find a spot where the lock works smoothest. Tighten up the blots, but don’t over tighten. Continue to work the key until you’re satisfied that the position is as good as you can get it. Graphite is available at Lowe’s, Home Depot or even Hobby Lobby (used for Pinewood Derby cars). Same stuff. By the bye, you should use graphite on all your locks from time-to-time. It keeps the cylinder, springs and pins freed up, making the action of the locks very smooth. I never work on a lock without adding graphite powder first.Best regards, –W/D–
My mower will start but won't stay running – Toro LX466 22HP Lawn Tractor 13RT61RH244
ANSWER : I am going to respond 2 times to this post. The first reply will be generic things to check.
First off check the oil level and make sure it is serviced to full.
If your having a lack of fuel (runing lean) you will need to check fuel flow at the carb fuel mainfold. It should fill a spray paint can lid in less than 10 seconds but teting flow rated of the main fuel line. If you have poor flow here… you need to check the fuel filter and the fuel tank outlet port for obstructions.
Good Fuel flow still shutting off…. remove the carb float bow and clean the debris from the bow’ and the treaded area where the fuel solenoid mounts Additionally you will have to again remove the main fuel line and spray carb cleaner in the float needle area to flush out any debris through the fuel hose connection.
For the second response I need to know which engine is installed on your mower by MODEL number if you can locate it. (there are 3 engines) At least try to find the engine model number. If you can not locate it Brand and HP of the engine (I assume 22 hp) Thanks for choosing FixYa,
