Need to install fuel lines and prime bulb

To replace the fuel line you need to remove the cover over the carb and the fuel cap. (empty all fuel from tank) then use a small gauge wire to fish out the end with the filter in the tank. attach a small piece of small gauge wire to the fuel line. then remove the old line from the carb and pull the old line back from the tank. to anstall the new just reverse the operation.

ANSWER : If it’s a old saw..The seal goes out on the crank next to the clutch,it’s called a grease seal, it loses the suction needed to pull fuel in to the engine, can be a tricky one to replace, but will spark a old saw back to life. You may want to replace both crankshaft seals ..First try a few drops of gas down the carb, if it pops off you know it’s a fuel issue

ANSWER : Hi owjbhend…
Use a piece of wire and insert it into the fuel line, then bend a hook in the end and hook it over the end of the fuel line…lubricate the fuel line with some vaseoline very lightly…about the first one inch of the fuel line and then use your fingers to start the fuel line into the tank, once you have the fuel line in the tank give enough to hook the fuel filter to and so it can be dropped back into the tank.

I can;t get any oil to feed on the bar of my McCulloch MCC4516FK chainsaw
ANSWER : No gasket you need a little bigger gas line to seel the hole.
The saw starts up fine, runs fine but not for long. it runs for about 1 minute and dies. like it is out of fuel or sucking air, i noticed there is no filter on the suction line and there is another nipple entering the fuel tank which appears to need a hose on it , is this just a return line, or should the long line in side the tank press on to this nipple? thanks,
ANSWER : I’ve had my pp4218 for about 2 years and the fuel lines have rotted. I’m thinging from ethanol in the gas. However, I’m replacing them and cannot tell which lines go where. Does the large line from the bubble go to the filter and the little line return?

the fuel primer bulb broke and the plastic lines have crumbled. i need to know how to run the lines from the fuel tank to primer bulb to carurator.

ANSWER : I just did a primer bulb not too long ago, but I don’t remember what equipment it was on. They are generally easy to replace. First, remove anything that is retaining the bulb assembly, such as cover plate. On my Homelite chainsaw, I simply pried it out with a small screwdriver.
The replacement part itself has two barbed stubs that the two fuel line hoses push onto.
Make sure that you keep the fuel line tubes above the fuel level at all times to prevent leakage.

ANSWER : Not familiar with this model, however most machine work like this, fuel line from the tank with the filter on the end goes to the main fuel in on the carb, the conection nearest to the pump side of the carb usually alloy with a single screw fixing, the other conection on the carm from the metering side goes to the short conection on the primer, the suction side, the longer conection on the primer is the pressure side and returns to the tank, with all primers they pull fuel from the carb and dump back to the tank, not the other way round.
I have a mac 3516 with a weak spark.I am looking for the gap spec
for the pickup coil.
