Ixora coccinea is a dense multi-branching evergreen shrub that is notable for its brightly colored blooms. The scarlet, tubular flowers grow in dense rounded clusters and can bloom year-round in the right conditions. Ixora coccinea is a member of the Rubiaceae family and is a showy relative of coffee.
It grows in a bushy, rounded form with 4″ long, glossy, dark evergreen leaves and summer blooms of 4 petaled red flowers in 5″ wide cymes. The fruits are round and dark purple to black. Ixora prefers full sun in moist, well-drained, acidic but organically rich soils.
Roots are also used in hiccup, nausea, loss of appetite and externally for the treatment of sores, eczema, chronic ulcers. Roots contain aromatic acrid oil, tannin, fatty acids.
Ixora is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. It is the only genus in the tribe Ixoreae. It consists of tropical evergreen trees and shrubs and holds around 544 species.
The glossy, leathery, oblong leaves are about 4 in (10 cm) long, with entire margins, and are carried in opposite pairs or whorled on the stems. Small tubular, scarlet flowers in dense rounded clusters 2–5 in (5.1–12.7 cm) across are produced almost all year long.
Uses. Several Ixora species are used in traditional medicine, e.g. as an astringent and to treat dysentery and tuberculosis. The use in China and India is widespread. An infusion of the leaves or flowers of several species is administered to treat fever, headache and colic.

ANSWER : You can plant or replant as soon as the weeds you sprayed are dead. Roundup is deactivated upon contact with the soil, it only affects the plant material sprayed.

My cherry tomato plants are 8″ high and 5 weeks old. I just noticed that the very bottoms of the main stems are a little smaller (in diameter) than the rest of the stem and are slightly brown! Could it be the beginning of their demise???
