Craftsman
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Look on the face of the lock cylinder and see if there are numbers and letters on it ( this is a key code ) — with this key code you can go to a locksmith shop and get a new key made and it will work in the lock,,, or you can call ‘ Craftsman tool company ‘ and give them the code and they can mail you a new key to the lock.
one other thing that you can do is to take the code down to Sears* and see if you can find another toolbox with the same code on the lock — this will be the same key, ask them if you can borrow the key to get a copy made ‘ at a lock shop ‘,, ( but this is a long shot as there are hundreds of locks used by Craftsman on their tool chests ).
a locksmith is the best bet for getting this key made.
if none of these ideas work for you or if there is no code on the lock then you can have a locksmith come to you and make a key for it,, OR – you can use a big drill bit and just drill out the lock and then buy a new lock to replace it with ( a new lock will cost about 25 dollars and come with 2 new keys ).

A locksmith can open your lock using special tools if you`ve lost the key. Also, they can offer you replacement keys for the toolbox. When it comes to the broken lock, you might consider rekeying.

One of the most common ways a locksmith will attempt to open your door is by picking the lock. Their lock picking kit will contain the tools needed to open your locks. Lock picking leaves your lock in good working order. Meaning that your key will continue wot work with the lock and it will not need to be replaced.
To unlock a door with a hole (privacy lock) you`ll need a flathead screwdriver that is small enough to fit into the hole on the doorknob. Insert your screwdriver into the hole and push forward. If your doorknob is using a push-button type privacy lock, then you should hear a loud click and the door will open.

ANSWER : Manuals for many Craftsman tools are available here: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals . Lots of tillers are listed just by searching for Craftsman tiller.
