How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Pumps typically consist of three main parts: a housing, an impeller, and a motor. The housing is the pump`s mainframe, which supports the impeller and contains the pumped fluid. The impeller is a rotating set of blades that helps move the fluid through the pump.
To identify the model of your pump, you need to know the part number. Part numbers, also sometimes referred to as model numbers, can be found on your pump`s tag. A pump tag is a small rectangular plate that displays all the basic information about your pump.
A pulser pump is a gas lift device that uses gravity to pump water to a higher elevation. It has no moving parts.
A water pump has several small parts that join together to make one working machine. Its most basic components include the hub/pulley, bearing, body/house, seal, and impeller.
A PD pump curve indicates pump capacity, on the horizontal lines, in units per minute. In this example, the curve indicates gallons per minute (GPM) and liters per minute (LPM) in the left margin and the vertical lines indicates pump speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).
The wet end of the pump includes those parts that dictate the hydraulic performance of pump. The mechanical end includes those parts that support the impeller within the casing, seal the casing where the shaft passes through it and enable rotation – the means by which the wet end creates flow and pressure.
So, what is pumping head or just “head?” Head is the maximum height that a pump can move fluid against gravity. The purest example of this is if you have a vertical pipe extending straight up from the discharge outlet. A pump with 5m of head will pump fluid up the pipe 5m from the discharge outlet.
