How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

A pump leaking water indicates that there is something wrong such as bad water seals/packings or a broken ceramic plunger, or something minor like a leak o-ring. Any of these problems can be minor at first, but prolonged neglect can lead to bigger problems.
The main reason which may cause the pressure washer to leak from the inside is if the cylinder head – either cracked or failed. This is often caused by the pressure washer being stored in an area that can freeze during winter.
Gas Pressure Washer: Why does water spray out of my pressure washer`s pressure relief valve? If the pressure washer runs for more than 5 minutes when the spray wand isn`t in use, the water in the pump often overheats, causing the thermal relief valve to open and discharge hot water onto the ground.
If your power washer leaks water from the connection between the hose and inlet, the seal and possibly the coupling on the inlet are likely broken and will need to be replaced. This seal and coupling should be fairly easy to remove and replace.
The water pump contains several seals and gaskets that keep coolant enclosed and secure as it flows throughout the engine. As these seals and gaskets age, they will become worn, cracked, and dried out. Once this occurs, the coolant can leak from the water pump.
Leaks tend to occur when the gaskets and seals that connect the water pump to the cooling system fail as they get older, causing coolant liquid to leak and puddle under the engine. This can grow into a more serious issue when the water pump casing develops a leak.
If water is leaking from the supply hose, you may need to replace the gaskets. Check the connection between any extension hose and the drain hose of your washing machine. All connections must be secure. Check the clamp to see if it has come loose over time.
These can easily be replaced, saving you the cost of a new pump. However, major leaks such as the ones caused by cracked or damaged plungers, can lead to pump failures. Plungers can be repaired or replaced, but the cost should be considered.
If a recently replaced T&P relief valve starts leaking again, it probably means that the relief valve is only doing it`s job; it relieving excess pressure in the water heater.
