Changed everything 3 times and the same thing happends
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Coils are differend and have you ordered with the serial number of the coil that is used then there must also modificated a flywheel there are modifications that the coil will not work on the old flywheel or the coil was overloaded ??. and no part of stop wire hangs on mass.
If you not certain about you don,t know that this can happen then you dealer knows this for shure.
Hope for you that was only a problem of dirt on the bougie remove the bougie take a metal piece and hold it near a metal place like the cilinder it must be sparking the collor of the spark must me white blue (not red)
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
If you see a good spark at the coil, but not at the spark plug, then the problem may be caused by either a bad distributor cap, rotor, or carbon point and/or spring, or plug wires. Look down in the spark plug tube. If you see the spark going to the tube, the boot is bad.
A weak spark is the first sign that the ignition coil may be failing. During acceleration, the air and fuel that is forced into the cylinders extinguish whatever spark there is, which causes the car to stall.
Vibrations can damage ignition coil windings and insulation causing shorts or breaks in the secondary windings. The overheating of ignition coils can hinder their ability to conduct electricity. Wear and tear is a common reason for ignition coils failing.
Ignition coils tend to fail because of bad spark plugs or plug wires. If your vehicle`s fuel-to-oxygen mixture is either rich or lean, therefore, your ignition coils may fail prematurely. Additionally, engine heat and vibrations can cause damage to ignition coils.
A faulty trigger will result in no or intermittent spark and is often misdiagnosed as a fault with the power pack. Additionally, a faulty trigger shorting to ground will damage a power-pack so be careful if fitting a new power pack.
When couples say they no longer feel a “spark,” it may mean that they`re missing the initial feeling of infatuation or that long-term commitment has become challenging. Meeting your partner and falling in love may have felt exciting, new, and intense. You might have felt that it was the only factor in your life.
Make sure the spark is strong and blue in color. If the spark is weak and dull orange, it`s likely that it`s not strong enough to ignite the engine`s air and fuel mixture. (Optional) if There Is No Spark, Connect a New or Known Working Plug Connect a good plug to the coil pack or spark plug wire and repeat the test.
The voltage reaching the coil may be 12 volts , or about 7 volts if the coil has a ballast resistor . Most electrical equipment works on 12 volts, but most modern cars have a resistor in the ignition system to assist starting. The coil in a ballast-resistor system is rated at 7-8 volts instead of 12 volts.
Electrical power is dissipated due to the current induced in the coil.
Weak ignition coil. The engine idles fine but breaks up under load. The issue here is a coil that has worn out from the constant charging and discharging cycles. The proper method to check an ignition coil is using an oscilloscope, but an ohm meter works well, too.
Most DIS no start problems are caused by a bad crank position sensor. Many DIS systems use the “waste spark” setup where one coil fires a pair of spark plugs that are opposite one another in the firing order.
If you suspect the coil is dead, you can also remove the coil, plug it back in, and use an ignition spark tester like OEM 25069 to determine if the coil is firing. You can also use a multimeter to test resistance.

My chainsaw has no spark, I have checked the spark plug and it works on another unit, i guess it may be the ignition, ho0wever as it is a small coil I have no way of checking. can the coil be simply tested, otherwise can one be purcahsed.
Yes the coil can be tested. you would need to know the proper specs but with a multimeter you should be able to get a resistance value from your plug wire to ground. With my experience 10000 – 30000 ohms should allow it to run. If this is no help one common thing is your kill switch. A wire should run from the coil to the switch, if this wire is shorted to ground it will not run.
What is the spark plug gap for a ryobi string trimmer model # ry30550 ?
I can’t say for sure, but it’s PROBABLY about 0.035″.
What are the symptoms of a bad coil on my Poulan chainsaw? Mine only sparks at high RPM’s, as tested with my electic drill motor spinning the engine and grounding the removed spark plug to the engine head. I don’t want to buy a new coil if that may not be the problem. I’ve already checked the kill switch wiring and the high tension spark plug wire itself, as well as trying several different plugs.
There has to be a reasonable spark at hand cranking speed, with most electronic ignitions they work off speed of rotation so you do need to crank the engine at a fair speed, check the air gap between the flywheel magnet and the ignition core, this should be around 0.3mm, if there is not spark at all when cranked well it will be a replacement unit required.
Had no spark so ordered a new coil – installed new coil and still will not start – this machine is not old and only used about 15 hours total – seems quite expensive to blow a few leaves if I have to purchase a new one. The coil alone was over $50.00 – not too smart on my part, should have gone and purchased a new one.
Did you have a shop do a compression test on the cylinder before you bought the new ignition module. If the compression on the cylinder is not at least 100 psi, A new ignition module would not have helped. May be time to get some more money together and bought a better one. You get what you pay for.Good Day.

My Poulon Pro 17 will not start; it has new fuel lines, new spark plug, new filter, and clean fuel. What have I overlooked?
Got spark? Take the plug out but leave it connected to the plug wire, touch some part of the threads to the metal near the hole in the engine for the plug, turn it over a few times either with the pull cord or with a starter, and see if you get spark, if not, could be ign. coil module, bad plug wire, or bad wiring to the ign. coil module.
How to replace ignition coil on asthil 029
Coil should be held on the saw with 2 torx t27 size screws. These will resemble a star. Remove the 2 screws, lift out the coil. The small wire should be attached with a spade connector, slide the spade off with needle nose pliers. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug, & thread it out of the saw as you remove the coil. Assembly is reverse order of removal. For clearance, loosen coil screws, alike coil away from flywheel
