In most cars, it will be under the hood, in a large box with a black lid. This is where car fuses and relays are installed. It is also called a fuse box. This box is usually installed on the driver`s side of the vehicle.
What year was my equipment built? The 5th character of our 11 character product serial numbers will indicate the last number of the year that it was manufactured. Since 5th character in the example is a 4, the year of manufacture would be a year ending in 4.
Our current factory model and serial numbers are each 11 characters in length. A character could be a number, dash, or a letter. Note: The first 2 characters of the Model Number identify the product category (see table below). * Attachments may also begin with the letters OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture).
To find the model number, look for a model number sticker on the engine. The engine type code is stamped into the side of the engine, usually close to the serial number. Engine type codes may be up to 4 characters.
How Do I Identify a Briggs & Stratton Engine? The Model, Type and Code numbers, stamped directly into the engine, are used to identify our engines. Engines used in lawn mower applications usually have the model numbers stamped directly into the blower housing, muffler heat shield, or a few inches above the spark plug.
How to check the type of engine. You can easily find out what kind of engine is in your car by checking the VIN, which can be seen in the owner`s manual or under the hood. The VIN can also be found on the front of the driver`s side dashboard in most cases.

Where Is the Circuit Breaker? While every home is different, circuit breakers are generally located in low-traffic areas of the home, such as a basement, garage, or utility closet. If you live in an apartment, your circuit breaker may be in a more central location, such as a hallway or laundry area.
Your vehicle has a pre-fuse box located in the engine compartment attached to the positive battery post. This box contains several high current fuses.
One of the best ways to determine if a car fuse has blown is by using a test light. It should illuminate both ends of the fuse, and, if it doesn`t, it needs to be replaced. Sometimes, a blown fuse is caused by a damaged wire, motor, or other part.
