15 oz. of oil is required for the 725EXi Series engine (2700-2800 PSI Pressure Washers).
When operating your 12.5 HP engine at temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit, Briggs & Stratton calls for 48 fluid ounces (1.5 quarts) of SAE 30 weight detergent motor oil approved for four-cycle engine service levels SF-SJ or higher.
Use Briggs & Stratton SAE 30W Oil above 40°F (4°C) for all of our engines.
While automotive engine oil, such as 10W-30 or 10W-40, can be used in a lawn mower engine, it is generally recommended that SAE 30 motor oil be used.
Can You Use Synthetic Lawn Mower Oil? Yes! We have recently modified our engine oil recommendations to state that you may now use a synthetic 5W30 or 10W30 oil in all temperature ranges.
The only difference between the two oils is the low temperature point, with the 5W-30 functioning slightly better than the 10W-30. Winter-grade oil stays thin even as temperatures drop, which means it will flow straight to the engine at startup.
Mixing Oil & Fuel for Small Engines
2 Stroke Cycle Spark Ignited Engines: Always mix a high quality, 2-cycle oil, such as Briggs & Stratton lawn mower oil, at a 50:1 gas to oil ratio.
Description: Chevron Supreme SAE 5W30 motor oil is ideal for use in pressure washers that use four-stroke gasoline engines.
The last thing you want to do is be in a hurry and accidentally grab motor oil instead of the synthetic stuff you need to properly run your pressure washer. It won`t matter what brand it is. As long as it has the SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 on the label, that`s exactly what you`re looking for.
The average size gas-powered pressure washers take one quart of 5W30 engine oil and will require scheduled oil maintenance. Pressure washer pumps, including electric models, use Non-Detergent (ND) oil and most don`t require maintenance.

Hi there, quick question, there is a black and grey wire on the 13.5hp briggs and stratton, i am unsure which is the earth and which is the power?
ANSWER : The grey one should get power when the key is turned on. This opens the solenoid valve on the carb and lets fuel in. The black one should get earthed when the key is turned off, this shorts out the coil and stops the spark. Aussie Steve.
