Blade Tension Is Too Loose The most common reason why the blade is slipping off is that there isn`t enough tension to keep it on. Blades can slowly become loose after years of wear and tear, and eventually, you`ll need to tighten or replace them.
A common speed for the bandsaw is about one thousand feet per minute. Wood can effectively be cut at much higher speeds, up to and over five thousand feet per minute, but you should keep it slower because it`s safer.
Always follow 4 inch rule. Never push on back of piece with fingers or thumb. Don`t reach across the blade. Make all cuts under power, not while blade is coasting.
Band saws were never really considered to be a wise choice for aluminum cutting, but that has changed recently. With the advancements in band saw technology, large aluminum billet now can be cut almost as quickly as with large circular saws.

I have a Ryobi band saw EBW4023L.
When I switch on the laser light it comes on bright for about two seconds and fades so that I can hardly see the red line. Also there is a second line of red light going off to the left side at a slight angle to the main line.

Chain saw brake does not go off
ANSWER : Your switch is broken and needs to be replaced. You can do it yourself when you get the part from a Ryobi dealer.
My Ryobi portable table saw BTS20 just quit working in the middle of a cut.
ANSWER : Me id look at the under side of saw , id bet the saw just tripped out in use and needs to be reset , id also bet the reset is marked in red some place around motor

Ryobi 18v One+ battery won’t hold a charge. I have two of them and neither one will hold the charge. The charger is the Ryobi 18v charger plus. I have the same problem. As soon as I put the battery in the charger (even if it is dead) the “charging”, and the “fully charged” lights both come on. Even if I leave it for a day the battery will not charge.
ANSWER : If it’s both of them then i am thinking you have a faulty charger. i have seen mine do that, i got a new charger and it worked properly.
No local Ryobi dealer; what other brand chains will fit my 18″ Ryobi ?
ANSWER : Any saw service dealer can fit a chain to your saw. ‘Oregon’ saw makes bars/chains for about any saw made in the last 50 years or so. Just take the chain itself in to get a replacement. Good luck!

ANSWER : Im sure the bar mounting is part of the saw, and cannot be replaced. I assume you are talking about the two metal prongs that hold the bar in place.
