How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

If the lawn mower leaks gas the carburetor bowl gasket on the bottom of the carburetor might be dried out or missing. If the leak is coming from the bottom of the carburetor, try replacing the carburetor bowl gasket.
If petrol is coming out of your primer bulb, this means that it is backing up in your carburettor and flowing out of the primer tube. The float-valve in your carburettor has most likely got stuck and just needs to be adjusted.
If your lawnmower is leaking fuel you might have a damaged fuel tank. Fuel tank cracks are usually the result of an accident. They can be caused by the tank hitting a low-hanging shrub branch. If something falls on the lawnmower the tank can be cracked.
There are several places that fuel can leak at the top of the tank. The fill tube, the vent tube, and the gasket for the pump, filter, and screen assembly can all be found there. Have a reputable shop inspect and diagnose the leak for you and recommend repairs.
Try to locate a hole or leak in your car`s gas tank. You can sand the tank`s leaking areas using sandpaper. You can then clean the sanded area thoroughly using the cloth and alcohol or another degreaser. Treat the leakage using the gas tank repair kit by following the instructions.
One of the more common questions we get concerns either the overwhelming smell of gas coming from the carburetor or fuel leaking out of the bowl or overflow. Both conditions are typically caused by a stuck or worn float needle valve.

I have a poulan pro self propelled lawn mower that won’t start. It ran fine this morning, but after I took a break and went back outside to finish mowing, it wouldn’t start. It sounds like it won’t ”catch” when you pull the starter rope. Any suggestions?
ANSWER : You need to check a few things. The spark first, you need to check if it is running correctly, does it have spark, by doing this: take out the spark, put it against a metal surface and pull the pull start if it spark, your good if not you need a new spark plug. Clean out your airfiilter it migth help too. Buy some carb and choke cleaner squirt it up theough the airfilter hole, and start the engine, this will clen the carb. yOU MIGHT NEED TO TAKE OUT THE CARB AND CLENA I OUT THROUGHOULY!!! Try that and it whould work after all these steps!

This hapened on my mower and it turned u that the spark pug was too bigfor the motor and the valves were totally broke!!!Not good…
