er ,but it still does the same thing.

Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Hi,The problem is not with the transformer but rather the draw on the transformer…it is too high….there is a short in the wiring or the motor for the wire feed….To find the exact problem you will have to take an OHM meter and trace down to problem with no power present…..The readings will probably not be zero because the short is probably not a dead short but rather a break down in the insulation somewhere or an internal short in the motor.Finding the problem could be a needle in the haystack deal…but at least with the OHM meter you should be able to isolate the problem to an area…then change parts from there…heatman101

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

It is very simple, you will have no output. This is because a transformer works on the principle of elctromagnetic induction, which requires a voltage source that changes with time (alternating source). Thus since a dc supply is unidirectuional, the transformer cannot work.
The extra current is short-circuited by the transformer`s primary coil. The transformer may be blown away as a result of this. As a result, the transformer should never be connected to DC rather than AC. In the magnetic environment, any change of the coil of wire will cause a voltage (emf) to be induced in the coil.
Repairing a transformer instead of replacing can substantially reduce investment costs and provide a faster turnaround than buying a new transformer.
Transformers are especially susceptible to overheating because as they step up or step down voltage levels between circuits, energy is lost as heat in the core and windings. That heat can build up damaging insulation and leading to transformer failure.
Even when the power changes from AC to DC, the waves remain, creating output voltage ripple of higher and lower voltage. Some power supplies have multiple output power options like this one which gives people more flexibility in their applications.
A transformer cannot convert AC to DC or DC to AC. The transformer has the ability to step up or decrease current. A step-up transformer is a transformer that raises the voltage from the primary to the secondary. The voltage is reduced from primary to secondary by the step-down transformer.
Transformer does not work on DC. Direct current doesn`t have a variable magnetic field induced if fed through the primary winding of a transformer. Thus, only a constant magnetic field will act on secondary and shall not induce any voltage across the terminals of the same.
Transformers are used to change the AC voltage and cannot be applied to direct current (DC). When a DC voltage is applied to the transformer, the core becomes an electromagnet and the polarity does not change, and the magnetic flux through the secondary winding remains unchanged.

Power to turn the blades is intermitent. What should I look for?
ANSWER : Loose connection, corrosion on connections. If this machine is new to you, do you have to have the brake or clutch on to activate the blades? I would lean towards wires/connections as the cause of your intermittent problem.

ANSWER : If your hot tub is pulling more amps than amps sent your breaker box, you’ll keep tripping the breaker. Check the rating on the hot tub and compare that to the breaker rating. You may need to uograde the wireing. Make sure the wire gauge is up to code.
