The LX188 does not have a shutoff valve installed from the factory. However, you can certainly install an aftermarket one in a convenient place in the existing fuel line. A shut off valve can be purchased for less than 10 dollars at you dealer or at a parts store such as Napa. You will need one for a 1/4″ fuel line. To install the valve, use a pair of vice grips to pinch the fuel line off then simply cut the line in half and install the shut off valve. Power take-off (PTO) clutches provide a mechanical disconnect between the power created by gas and diesel engines or electric motors to another piece of equipment. The PTO clutches enable the transmission of that energy to auxiliary equipment that does not generate its own power.

Most small gas engines have a fuel valve that should be shut off by when the engine is not in use. This can be easy to forget, especially when using remote controls.
The fuel pump shut off switch is designed to disengage the power to the fuel pump when a vehicle comes to an instant stop. Most vehicles today have an inertia switch near the main air bag module with a reset button.
A small pipe called a venturi runs alongside the gas nozzle. When the end of the venturi pipe becomes submerged with the rising gas, it chokes off the air pressure that holds the nozzle handle open and shuts down the gas flow.
One of the first symptoms of a potential issue with the fuel pump shut off switch is an engine that suddenly stalls while driving. If the fuel pump shut off switch malfunctions while the engine is operating it may shut off the fuel pump and cause the engine to stall.
Tips: This solenoid stops the flow of fuel when you turn off the engine.
On most cars the switch is mounted on the gear box and it is operated automatically when reverse gear is selected. If the lights were added after the car was made, the switch may be a manually operated one mounted on the dash.
Many models of John Deere riding mowers, lawn tractors and garden tractors are equipped with a power takeoff (PTO) function that the operator uses to engage the mower blades of the machine. If you`ve engaged the PTO function and find that there`s no response from the mower blades, there may be a problem with the PTO.
The “PTO valve” is similar to the analog unit, except it is a four-way pressure control. This patented valve is designed to modulate pressure on two separate functions as command is increased. As shown in the schematic, supply pressure is connected to the brake control port at zero command.
To operate PTO, simply shift the PTO selector to one of the following positions and pull up on the PTO engagement knob located on the dash; no foot clutch is required. 1) Mid PTO position – operates mid-PTO-driven implement such as a mid-mower or snow blower. 2) Rear PTO position – operates rear-PTO-driven implements.
Your main oil shut off valve can usually be found at the bottom outlet of your fuel tank. The valve will have either a wheel type handle (clockwise to close) or a lever handle (quarter push to close).

ANSWER : If you have no spark the first thing to replace the time delay module on the left rear side of engine. Its black and about 2 inches by 1 inch with yellow,red,orange and black wires going to it. Replacement is round shaped with same amount of wires.If no fuel to carb check for flow at filter, if theres flow but no pressure look for a split fuel line in tank between pump and sender.
