One of the common problems with Husqvarna riding mowers is their sudden power loss. If you ask our lawn care team, the problem stems from different reasons like bad gas in the fuel tank, plugged air filter, broken cooling pins, dirty carburetors, and clogged fuel lines.
Dirty/Clogged Air Filter If the air filter becomes too clogged with dirt or dust, there may not be sufficient air reaching the cylinder. This can cause the fuel to not burn, and the engine will not start as a result. If upon visual inspection the filter appears dirty or dusty, follow our Air Filter Replacement Guide.
If your tractor cranks, but won`t start, you`ll want to look at a few different engine components. Is the fuel making it to the cylinder? Check the fuel level, the shutoff valve, and the fuel filter. If those components look ok, air might not be making it to the cylinder.
Disconnected, dirty or fouled spark plugs are common causes for engines that won`t start. Spark plugs typically need to be replaced every season or 25 hours of use. You should also check that the spark plug gap is set properly.

Mower start up and runs, but starts to cut back, and smokes just a little bit. The mower stops smoking when it throttle up. It will continue to run but not at full throttle. I can hold a finger gently over the fuel primer bulb and it will throttle up for a small time.
ANSWER : It sounds like she’s being deprived of the correct fuel / air mixture due to a dirty carburetor (the biggest problem with mowers when gas is left to sit for a period of time). If you do not know how to take the carburetor apart and clean it thoroughly, then I suggest taking it to the local shop (hardware store or mower shop) and having it tuned up. ANSWER : Sounds like the carburetor needs cleaned and maybe rebuilt. If you can spray a little starting fluid (or a little carb. cleaner or anything volitile) into it and it starts and dies, you know it is in the carburetor.I hope this helps.

ANSWER : Remove deck and drive the mower up on some kind of ramp and crawl under and look it over then go to doing it .

Lawn mower cranck but wont start…
ANSWER : Since you already checked for spark and air I would drain all the fuel out of it and check that fuel for water. Over time some lawn mowers end up with contaminated fuel. You can see the water sitting on the bottom of the fuel if you let it stand for a bit in a small plastic bowl.
Be sure to empty and dry out you fuel can as well. Especially if the mower stopped running right after a refuel. Which is a good sign your gas can is contaminated too.
