This is likely a long term situation that occurs with either, incorrect premix, incorrect oil being used in the premix or the motor is running too rich. The discharge over time, will clog the exhaust and the engine will become more and more difficult to start. To fix:1. Rebuild your carburetor. This is relatively easy and the cost would typically be less than $15 as a DIY.2. Tune the carburetor (especially the ‘H’ high speed jet) at wide open throttle (WOT) to get the engine to the highest RPM’s then back it off about 1/8 turn3. Replace spark plug4. Clean air filter with soap/water and lightly spray with oil.If you are unable to clean the inside of the muffler, replacement may be necessary depending how clogged it has become.
