How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Check Your Fuse

The fuses in your plow connectors and in your truck`s charging system, are designed to burn out to prevent damage to sensitive electrical components. Make sure both the wired plow connection and the vehicle`s fuses are all in proper working order as part of your troubleshooting plan.

The fuse holder is part of the vehicle control harness and is located near the fuse box under the dash board.
My wireless remote isn`t working? The first thing to check is the battery in your wireless remote. If you have replaced the battery and the wireless still isn`t working try plugging your wired remote into the control box and make sure it isn`t a winch problem and is in fact your wireless.
Most modern vehicles have a fuse box located under the hood and another under the dashboard. The fuses for your instrument panel lights and the gauge cluster should be located under the dashboard or behind a panel near the driver`s side door.
Western Snow Plow Isolation Modules are the brains of the Western plow electrical system. When you push a button on your hand held controller, that information is passed onto the Isolation module in order to help notify the plow of the movement as well as pass this information to the hydraulic system.
The DK2 snow plow allows you to quickly and effectively remove snow from your driveway or small parking lot. The 82 x19 Plow simply slides into a 2-in front mount receiver for easy removal and storage.
Most experts recommend replacing pillows every 1 to 2 years. Doing so helps to ensure that you`re using pillows that are supportive, clean, and free of allergens. It is also important to care for the pillows you use to ensure their longevity.
Disadvantages of a plow tillage system

Plow tillage is costly tillage, increasing expenses for labor, fuel, and machinery. Plow tillage can delay planting of corn and soybeans. It can result in soil compaction or plowpans and can result in more soil erosion.

With the blade in the straight position and the plow lowered to the ground, check the fluid level. Fluid should be visible in the external fill port. If fluid is not visible, fill until visible. Your reservoir should now be properly filled.
Linear actuators work the same way as stated above in these remote-controlled robots, controlling the angle and tilt of the snowplow, as well as engaging it in the first place.
Look at the fuse wire. If there is a visible gap in the wire or a dark or metallic smear inside the glass then the fuse is blown and needs to be replaced.
Locating a Blown Fuse

In most cases it is in the driver`s side footwell underneath the dashboard. There may also be a second fuse box under the hood. Consult your owner`s manual for the exact location of each.

Your vehicle has a pre-fuse box located in the engine compartment attached to the positive battery post. This box contains several high current fuses. If replacement of these high current fuses is required, see an authorized dealer.
A thermal fuse will blow when the temperature gets too high, not when it`s drawing too much current. When it blows, the dryer stops generating heat. It`s necessary to replace it before the dryer will run again. The thermal fuse is different from the thermal cutoff.
Snow Plowing vs Snow Removal

Snow removal is essentially snow plowing with additional steps. It consists of clearing the property and then gathering all of the snow to be hauled off-site, instead of stored on the property.

JAX Snowplow Grease is uniquely developed for outstanding long-lasting protection against sticking and wear for metal-on-metal snowplow applications such as wing posts and husting hitches. JAX Snowplow Grease can also be effectively used on “wet” mechanicals such as those in water parks.
Winch not working at all

You may have a bad connection between the cables and motor terminals. Check that all the connections under the control box cover is clean and tight. Check that the connections on the battery is clean and tight. Try both the wireless remote and plug in remote.

The most common causes of poor hydraulic performance are particulate contamination, water contamination, clogged filters, high fluid temperature and incorrect hydraulic fluids.
If clogged badly enough, air will not be able to pass through the filter-breather, which could create a partial vacuum in the reservoir. This, in turn, could cause cavitation of the pump, which usually results in premature pump failure.
How Air Gets into a Hydraulic System. Aeration of hydraulic oil can occur through air getting into the system through seals and fittings, or during maintenance. It`s also worth knowing that hydraulic fluid naturally contains air.
Running your hydraulic pump dry is likely to result in disaster, wearing it out prematurely via the aforementioned heat, violent vibrations, or complete lock-up/seizure of important parts, costing you money to fix or replace.
Hydraulic oil is arguably the most important element within a hydraulic system. The grade of hydraulic oil for a pump will influence the transmission of power, lubrication, heat transfer, corrosion, and sludge formation.
Your maximum transport speed should be 45 mph, and even slower during adverse conditions. Always wear a seat belt. Always use caution flashers, strobes or warning lights when actively plowing. A good rule of thumb while plowing is to not exceed 10 mph.
Plowing refreshes the planting field by overturning a brand new layer of soil. However, you want to wait until the soil that you previously buried through plowing have had the time to break down and develop. Plowing every month is unnecessary and counter-productive. It`s better to do this once or twice a year.
