I got a free pressure washer from a relative, I'm usually pretty good at fixing things and i fixed the initial problem which was a piece of plastic in the Nozzle. While taking apart the gun I noticed that the screen where the O-ring comes in was ripped and i found 2 ball bearings, just large enough to fit into the female parts of the power washer gun pipe but not big enough to fit into the male ends. Now when I run my power washer it does no build pressure. If i start it with the wand open it builds great pressure, as soon as i let go of the trigger and pull it again the pressure is gone b

Yes, you can use a pressure washer gun with a hose. You will need to purchase a pressure washer gun that has the proper fittings to connect to your garden hose. Make sure that the pressure washer gun is rated for the PSI of your garden hose. Most pressure washer guns have a maximum PSI rating of 400.
Pressure washers are composed of six main parts: inlet, motor, pump, pressure hose, gun, and nozzle.

Gas models are rather universal. Nevertheless, if you`re looking for a new spray gun, a new hose, or you`re looking to incorporate Quick Connects, your best bet is to stick with the same brand, and make sure what you choose is compatible with the pressure washer model you have.

The outer diameter is 22 millimeters, with a metric 1.5 thread count, on the male end. However, the female end has an inside diameter of 20.5 millimeters, but still has the metric 1.5 thread pitch, and generally has an O-ring to prevent leaking. These threads are common on pumps, hoses, and spray guns.
Pressure washers operate under pressure, and that pressure needs to be released by pulling the trigger. If you let the machine run for two minutes or longer without spraying water, then you could damage the pump.
The large metal cylinder is not a tank, it is the burner that heats the water (most people think it is a tank for water storage). The water goes through the pump before it is heated, so the machine can be used as a cold water pressure washer as well.
The number one cause of low or no pressure when using a pressure washer is a blocked or worn nozzle. Blocked nozzles will prevent water from escaping, while a worn nozzle will allow too much water to pass through, causing the pressure to drop.
Check the connection and o-rings. Try tightening the connector to see if this stops the leaking. If it does not, with the pressure bled off, unscrew the connector and focus on the o-rings. If they are not intact or appear to be damaged, replace the o-rings.
Begin isolating the problem by hooking a water hose to the washer`s inlet and turning it on. If water flows out the outlet, you know water is cycling through. If not, chances are your inlet filter is clogged. Remove and clean it, and you should be good to go.

1750 psi Electric Pressure Washer: My pressure washer is losing pressure and is pulsa…
ANSWER : If the pressure washer is pulsating then that is a sign of check valve failure. You may be able to clean of replace the check valves. Replacing the head is the wrong way to go. This is completely unnecessary. If you can tell me the model number of your pressure washer then I can assist you better in pointing you in the right direction.

I have used the McCulloch (FH180A) three times over the course of two years. On my fourth use the pressure washer just surged on and off and I would get a tiny spray from the gun each time it surged. In other words it would do nothing. Please help… very frustrated. Thanks
ANSWER : Sounds like the problem could be low input water flow or pressure. There could be crud on the intake where you hook up the garden hose, there could be some other sort of blockage. Try hooking it up to the hose and pull the trigger (with the power switched off) and wait to see if water comes out the tip. Also look at the tip(s) themselves. sometimes a piece of crud gets into the hose and then clogs the tip.

Kranzle electric washer will not suck up soap
ANSWER : Hi, if it has a chemical injector on the machine then the pressure at the lance will have to be lowered for it to pull in soap. it works on a similar principle to how carburetors on cars pull in fuel, bernouli principle. high pressure at one side of an orifice going to low pressure at the other side which causes a negative pressure ( vacuum) which should pull in the soap. there should be a non return valve at the orifice (hole) which prevents the water back feeding into the soap container, it is quite common for this valve to get stuck, it is just a ball, spring and o ring , and the ball sticks to the o ring. if it is this system then take the soap pick up pipe off the injector and just push the ball off it’s seat with a bit of wire.If it is a high pressure soap system then that is different, but they usually work with an injector in my experience.try taking the high pressure hose off the front off the machine and running it, if it has an injector on it it should pull in plenty off soap.hope this helps ,andy

ANSWER : Sounds like the unloader (regulator). Try removing the nozzle, the pull the trigger with the engine running. If motor is still running then it could be the Unloader malfunctioning. If you require a new one try a bypass system for the unloader. The bypass will help save the life of the unloader.
