My photo is a bit blurry, But I’ll send it to you. The next time I work one of these babies, I’ll take a much better pic. I only took this one because I was a novice and I always do that. Now I have this picture in my head and have not had reason to take an updated one; sorry. But I DO feel your pain. I hope this is what you need and hope it helps. Best of luck. James.

Tecumseh Model Number Lookup – Label/Plate Information
The model number (marked with red box in photo) on a Tecumseh engine can be found on the engine ID label, typically located under the engine cover.
The carburetor sits atop the engine block beneath the air filter, and operates using a combination of vacuum power and cable control. The carburetor is attached to the throttle cable, which is attached to the gas pedal.
Most carburetors have a unique identification number that can be used to confirm its make, model, and specifications. The carburetor number is typically located on a metal tag attached to the carburetor. On most aftermarket carburetors, this ID is stamped or etched directly onto the carburetor body.
To arrive at the most appropriate carburetor choice, there`s a basic formula: engine displacement multiplied by maximum rpm divided by 3,456. For example: a typical 355ci small-block—a 0.030-over rebuild—with a 6,000-rpm max engine speed would work well with a 616-cfm carb ((355 x 6,000) 3,456 = 616.32).

I removed the carburator from my Murray 22″ with Tecumseh TVS90 engine. When I put it back together, I must have connected it incorrectly. It just runs full out no matter where I have the throttle set. I guess the spring and the connector to the governor may be on incorrectly? I don’t know becuase I can’t find an exploded view of the connectors.
Have a look at this page – it has diagrams and instructions for getting the linkages right:
The Throttle linkage on the carburetor came off where does it go

I am assembling the chain saw that I bought online. There was some difficulty in taking off the clutch cover. Before I did that, I had disengaged the chain brake. Now I find that I cannot put the cover back on because the chain brake seems to be activated, and the brake is too small to get it around the ring to remount the cover. I cannot move the brake one way or the other to activate the spring-loaded mechanism. Do you have a solution?

I replaced the rear drive belt and now I only can go forward, what did I do wrong or what can I do to check this?
Your belt is not on right. MTDs use a tension system for the drive belts to control speed. You either missed a pulley or got one backwards.Check here for diagrams. You will need the model # for your tractor but is a good site for all kinds of mowers

I have the 2014 R322T AWD with the 48″ mower deck. The replacement belt is 53216597, listed as a 1/2″x82.25″ I used a standard V-Belt 4L820 (1/2″x82″) and its working fine. I’m going to order a Kevlar belt to have on hand 4L820K, oil & heat resistant. FYI, the middle belt is a 4L570K, 1/2″x57″. When replacing the belts, I put some axle grease on the pully shaft and shoot grease in the button head of the rear pully.
How does the spring on the throttle trigger supposed to be placed to maintain tension for a working lever on an Echo 2100 grass trimmer? What is the trick to placing the spring correctly on the trigger mechanism? I have placed the spring on the plastic trigger mechanism, but there doesn’t seem to be any tension for the trigger to spring back. I placed the cable first in the slot of the trigger and then place the spring into position, but the trigger doesn’t spring back into the starting position. What am I doing wrong? There seems to be only one way to place the spring on the trigger mechanism. Can you please provide me with some sound advice or e-mail me a picture of how it is suppose to be assembled in case I’m doing something wrong? Thanks, Don
