How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

Gas models that start will a pull rope include a primer bulb to deliver a gas and air mixture to the carburetor to start the engine. Primer bulbs that have cracks or tears in them need replacing to start a gas leaf blower.
There are different types of gasoline primer bulbs, all of which contain various types of valves inside. Sometimes these bulbs become so hard it`s difficult to squeeze them; sometimes even though you can squeeze them, they pump poorly, if at all.
Once the engine is running, the feed pump produces a suction that draws fuel through the bulb valves. Without the fuel coming in through the bulb, this feed pump cannot work properly. The use of the primer bulb is therefore crucial.
Marine fuel primer bulbs are available in three sizes for 1/4″, 5/16″ and 3/8″ inch fuel hoses.
The primer bulb is generally placed close to the engine, and usually downstream of any fuel filters or water-separtors. Many new engines are delivered without a fuel disconnect fitting, and instead just provide a short stub of fuel line from the engine cowling. This makes a natural place to connect a primer bulb.
Primer bulbs do not work well if there is lots of air and no fuel. I spent over one hour getting my new boat primed. You might try running the hose and bulb to a can of gas (lots of things can go bad with can of gas, be careful) and see if the motor will fill and firm up the bulb.
Toro Primer Bulb (66-7460)
Press the primer bulb a handful of times to prime the engine – some models will require three or four pulls while others will need at least five or six. Place the leaf blower on the ground so that it`s secure.

If it’s less than 14 days then you might want to check the compression. IF you have good compression, then you might want to take it to a service center to have it diagnosed.

Hard to crank and to keep running – Homelite 'Yard Broom' Leaf Blower
ANSWER : These machines are not maintenance free like some car batteries claim to be. The require care and tuneups just like your car or mower does. This most likely is a fuel delivery issue and if the unit has any age on it, the time has most likely come to rebuild the carb or at least replace the diaghrams with a kit. The machine may have other issues too, so start at the fuel filter in the tank, observe the condition of the fuel lines and check inside the carb for gum, dirt, and/or varnish. Clean the miniature screen inside the carb and spray the carb internals with a non-flammable brake cleaner aerosol spray.
