On my 331 bobcat mini excavator the hyd controls get hard after machine has run ten minutes and function slow down then stop after I shut it off and restart it repeats this.
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
You got a pressure crossover problem there , main pump pressure is leaking into the servo system I would suspect the pump.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Fast-closing washer valves cause water hammer. And when water hammer gets bad, it can actually damage your washing machine`s pipes or the fixtures attached to the pipes. Not all washing machines create water hammer, says Bernie Deitrick, a Consumer Reports engineer.
Water hammer is caused when moving water comes to a sudden stop. This creates a shockwave travelling through the plumbing system, and it`s this shockwave that makes the noise. Shockwaves can be caused by a tap being quickly switched off or a valve being closed.
This can be fixed by draining your plumbing system, which requires turning off the main water valve and opening the highest faucet in your home. Then drain water from the lowest faucet. The chamber should fill up with air once the water is drained and resolve your water hammer problem.
Water hammer is a phenomenon that can be either a mild nuisance or a severe problem. It is usually considered a safety hazard. The extreme pressure caused by water hammer can blow out gaskets and cause pipes to suddenly rupture, causing serious injury to anyone nearby.
Water hammer is a loud bang coming from the pipes after a fill valve shuts off. This type of plumbing noise is typically due to worn or damaged faucet washers. A buildup of minerals and rust inside the shut-off valves may also cause this sound.
To shut off the water supply, turn the valve clockwise to close. To turn the water back on, simply turn the valve anti-clockwise. Turn it on and off slowly, never force it. if you over tighten or use excessive force to operate the stop tap you may damage it.
The knocking noise is caused by the expansion and contraction of water within the metal or plastic pipes in your house. When water runs through a pipe it heats up or cools down, causing it to expand or contract.
While water hammer is associated with both high water velocity and often a rapidly-closing water valve, the operation of a water valve can cause a hammering noise even when water velocity is low and water pressure is modest.
An effect, also known as water hammer, in which a pressure wave can be generated behind a rapidly closed valve. The pressure wave travels at sonic speed, reflecting off of the pipe end or the bottom of the well and returning to the valve.
Telling the difference is generally pretty simple. If the knocking or echoing begins when you open a valve or faucet then most likely you`ve got air in the lines. If the banging starts when a valve closes then you`ve got water hammer.
These shock waves, also referred to as hydraulic shock, are produced when a liquid is suddenly forced to stop in a pipe, i.e. closed valve or pump shut down. This pressure commonly results in a thumping or banging noise akin to hammering, hence the term “water hammer.”
The Water Hammer Problem

The effect of the shockwaves can damage the pipes and knock them loose, and also damage taps, faucets, and appliances. Enough force from water hammer can even cause pipes to burst. If you hear rattling sounds along with the water hammer, it likely means you have pipes coming loose.

A: Although arresters are typically tested to 10,000 cycles, Sioux Chief arresters have been independently lab tested to withstand 500,000 cycles without failure. All Sioux Chief arresters are guaranteed to control water hammer for the lifetime of the plumbing system.
If water is flowing in that pipe at 10 feet per second (a common design level) and a downstream valve is suddenly shut off, water hammer develops, sending the instantaneous shock wave of water pressure as high as 1,000 psi (or even higher).
When the cold or hot water is shut off, the pressure resonates through the pipes, causing them to bang against anything in the vicinity, such as nearby studs, joists or other water pipes. This is the hammer sound that you hear.
Because the washing machine uses so much water, it can cause backups in all of your house`s drains if you have a large clog. If you notice this problem, halt all of your water usage until a licensed plumber can assess the issue. The good news is that all of these problems can be fixed.
Load your washer evenly

The most common reason your washer makes banging sounds during the spin cycle is that an unbalanced load has thrown it out of whack. When you put your dirty clothes in your machine, make sure to distribute them evenly in the drum.

Ignoring water hammer can ultimately result in the catastrophic failure of your flow system. The long-term effects of water hammer can include: Pump and Flow System Damage.

Yes, a properly sized water hammer arrester placed on the cold and hot water supplies to the washing machine will absorb the shock as caused by quick closure devices.
