How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the leaf blower. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog the fuel filter and cause the engine to stall.
A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the lawn mower for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to stall.
Please be aware that 2-cycle engines like this one require a mixture of gas and oil in order to run. For the Husqvarna 125B, this ratio is 50:1.
Includes an air filter, fuel filter, and spark plug.
A dirty carburetor is the most common cause of a lawn mower that starts and then dies. Other possible causes include: Stale/Dirty Gas. Faulty Choke.
A full gas tank and oil reservoir are the essential first steps when checking why the lawn mower won`t stay running, but the problem could also be a dirty filter, clogged carburetor, improper fuel mixture, or a dirty spark plug.
Leaf Blower Won`t Start When It`s Hot

Firstly, there may be a pressure build up due to evaporating fuel in the fuel tank – Users have reported that this can be solved simply by opening the fuel cap. Secondly, the fuel may have gone stale, causing blockages – refer to the section Fuel above, if this is the case.

A bad coil can cause this issue as well. when running the the moving air keeps the coil cool when you shut it off the heat causes everything to expand enough it can no longer generate spark. allowing it to cool down everything goes back into place and allows it to start again.
A plugged or improperly adjusted carburetor can cause your leaf blower to start, but then immediately die. Over time, especially if fuel has been left in the leaf blower for a long period, some of the fuel will evaporate and you will be left with a thick, sticky substance that can ultimately clog the carburetor.

Husqvarna 345e Hard to start and when it does start it continues to run (chain).
ANSWER : I have a model 435 Husky that had the same hard-to-start problem–warranty service replaced the carburetor and it seems to work ok now. The chain that continues to turn can be fixed by turning the idle-speed screw (not the H or L jet screws) CCW a small amount until it can be accelerated then dropped back to idle to quit driving the chain. Hope this helps!

Stalls under load nearly new chainsaw ran great last fall this spring stalls under load starts and runs fine otherwise
ANSWER : Try opening up the high speed jet, see if it does any better. Turn it just a quarter turn at a time, if opening it up doesn’t do anything, try closing it. If that doesn’t do it, try closing it down all the way, then open it up 1 1/2 turns, this will put you into run mode, you can adjust it from there. You have 2 screws on the side of the carb, low, high, they are marked, don’t be afraid to turn, that is what they are for. Check it out.
