The air filter may be clogged. If the air filter is clogged, the engine will get too much fuel and not enough air. As a result, the engine may not start. If the air filter is clogged, replace it.
The coil has two wires coming from it. One is the spark plug wire and the other is the kill switch wire. The kill switch wire gets grounded to kill the spark and shuts down the engine. If that wire is broken, the engine will keep running.
If your RYOBI Edger isn`t starting: For 18V or 36V Battery models: check the battery has charge by pressing the fuel gauge. For AC models: turn the power point switch off and check the cord is inserted correctly in the extension lead. Use a heavy-duty extension lead no longer than 25m for optimal performance.
Without a VPN kill switch, data would continue to flow over a direct, unencrypted connection. Even a momentary failure can reveal information that VPNs are meant to keep private, including: Your location. IP address.
The purpose of a kill switch is usually to prevent theft of a machine or data or shut down machinery in an emergency. The degree to which a kill switch limits, alters or stops an action or activity depends on the production, process or program it is intended to protect.
A kill switch is a manual switch that should be turned on to start the engine or vehicle, when this switch is off it`ll break some connection and make the cycle incomplete to stop the vehicle from operating.

It wont start,I replaced the spark plug
ANSWER : Joe try putting some fuel in where the spark plug goes. If it still doesn’t fire then proceed to eliminate things. Firstly the air filter will need cleaning then the spark coil. If it still don’t fire check the switch is ok. Sometimes the switch breaks a circuit and helps with the running of it.

Strimmer starts and runs but cuts out when at full power
ANSWER : Easiest place to look first would be to see if one of the fuel hoses has split. May be hard to see but that would cause it to **** air instead of fuel. Eventually, the split or hole would become so big that it wouldn’t stay running at all, and probably not even start. If that doesn’t do it, make sure the fuel you have is still good and try running a little Seafoam with the fuel and see if it clears up. After that, I would be looking at carefully cleaning the carburetor which may require dis-assembly as well as new gaskets etc.

I have a model # RY39500 ryobi hedge trimmer 2 cycle engine. Starts fine and idles however when i try to run it it dies. Whats wrong with it?
ANSWER : Sounds like the air screws need adjusted on the carburator. If there are 2 the one with the L above needs to be turned althe way to the right but not to tight and then backed out 1/2 turn to left. The one with the H anove it do the same except back it out 1 and 1/4 turns to left. If it only has 1 screw dot he same but back out 2 complete turns. Hope this helps?

The machine starts when the primer is full. As soon as the primer has emptied the machine stops. It seems as though no fuel is getting to the carburettor.
ANSWER : That is indeed the case, fuel is not getting to or through the carburetor. Check the fuel line, including the filter in the tank. Then check the carburetor, clean it if necessary, replace the diaphram in the carburetor. The diaphram is also the fuel pump of the carburetor. Be very careful with the small parts including the little spring in the lower end.
