Remove the filter from the bag, then squeeze it against some clean shop towels to remove excess oil. Replace the cleaned filter in the housing, then put the filter cover back in place. For washers with a paper filter, buy a new filter the exact type as your old one, then reassemble your machine.
You can measure the head pressure by installing a pressure gauge or manometer and comparing this with the manufacturer`s documentation for the diameter of piping in the system. If this is lower than advertised then the pump is not performing correctly and may need to be repaired or replaced.
In nearly all instances, pump failure is the result of improper installation or operation rather than normal wear. One of the most common causes of pump failure is improper or unnecessary service, often as a result of the operator attempting the service.
A common complaint is that the water in the washing machine drum will not drain, or that the washing machine has stopped mid-cycle with it still full of water. Another common issue is that the washing machine drum will not spin, or it won`t drain properly.
This repair takes on average 0.90h – 1.10h for a mechanic to complete. A mechanic can replace your car`s windshield washer pump, which directs washer fluid from the windshield washer reservoir to get sprayed on the windshield through the washer jets if it is faulty.
Make Your Pressure Washer Pump Last Longer With a Pump Protector Product. Leaving water in the pump can result in mineral buildup and corrosion, which wear out the pump seals and pistons which in the long run make up for an expensive pressure washer repair.
In simple terms, the mathematical constant 2.31 converts a unit of energy against gravity into a unit of force against any other area. This constant converts a foot of head of water into pressure: Head in feet of water divided by 2.31 equals pressure in psi, and pressure in psi times 2.31 equals head in feet.
By definition, `Head` is a measure of energy. The units of energy are feet (or meters). `Pressure` is a force applied against a unit of area such as a pound of force applied to a square inch of area (psi).
The discharge pressure of a pump is commonly referred to as head or pressure, but head and pressure are not the same across all liquids.

NO PSI brand new north star 1573021c elec psi washer. no psi out of the box,, using correct nozzle, motor runs, good incoming water psi and volume. ??????????
ANSWER : Have you checked to make sure that keyway is installed between electric motor and pump. also adjustment on unloader valve may be incorrect. If the big brass nut on the unloader is able to be turned by hand, then this is probably your problem (running pressure and spike pressure needs to be set and locked down using a pressure guage). does water come out of nozzle at all? if not, tip being stopped up may be the problem. trash between unloader ball and seat can also cause no pressure (usually caused by a burr left inside brass pieces during the manufacturing process). I have seen all the check valves stuck on a brand new unit from sitting on the shelf for so long, but this is usually the case with General Pumps.

Engine will not run with out choke being puh in
ANSWER : You will need to remove the carburetor and clean. Be sure to clean the high speed jet. This jet is the bolt that holds the fuel bowl on. Remove and clean the small holes in the sides of bolt. You will need a small piece of wire or bread tie just remove the outer covering and run this through the holes. Some have a hole in the bottom and smaller hole in the threads towards the top. Clean with carburetor cleaner and blow with compressed air. Try cleaning the jet first and if this doesn’t work then clean and rebuild entire carb. Hope this helps.

What oil do i use in the pump? The oil is milky and needs changing.
ANSWER : Well you can use direct recommended from Ace Hardware see link.

http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1340266

They recommend 250 hours, but i’d change more often, like you said when it’s milky. If it begins to get water in the oil sooner, that indicates your piston to crankcase seal is beginning to leak.
