I have a flat tire on my tractor and the valve stem is behind the tire therefore I have to remove the tire to get to the tube
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
If you can’t get to the valve stem (from either side, it sounds like you have bigger problems than just getting the tire off. It sounds like you will need to break down the tire to reseat the tube in the proper placement. Some mowers have studs and nuts like a car, and others use a cotter key and washer to hold it on (which is probably what you have since you had to ask how to remove the tire). The cotter key and washer is under a cap that just pulls off. You can use a small screw driver to work it out.
