Look for the fuse box in closets, hallways, mudrooms, crawl spaces, basements, utility rooms, or laundry rooms. Fuse boxes in more prominent locations might be covered with a wood panel or picture meant to disguise the appearance of the box cover or door.
The fuse block location may vary with the age and style of the mower, but is generally located along the wiring harness between the battery and the key switch. On our current style riding mowers, the fuse will either be: A) Under the hood, behind the steering dash panel.
Most electronic fuses will have the voltage and amp rating stamped on the end cap. The type of fuse can generally be visually identified. Also, owner`s manuals will have the correct replacement fuse generically identified. For example: “Use a 2 amp, time-delay, 250 volt fuse.”
The AC fuse on most HVAC systems is typically on the unit`s control board. You`ll normally find the board behind an access panel on the unit`s lower compartment. While you sometimes have to unscrew areas to access the control board, others have clips.
A fuse is always connected in the live wire of the circuit.

Fuse location where is the fuse???
BEHIND THE DASH NEAR SWITCH
My ride on tractor ( husqvarna yth 1848 xp) blew a fuse and I replaced it and it ran for 10 min, then stopped. AS sson as you turn the key to the on position it blows the fuse again. Seems like there is a short somewhere. Trouble shot for sometime but can not get the fuse to stop blowing.
Follow the wire from the fuse and you should be able to find the short. if not start unplugging lights and all safety switches and i am sure you will find it.
My zero turn burns pto switch’s repeatedly without blowing

Go to a smaller fuse, but it sounds like the PTO is shorted somewhere:http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CCoQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mymowerparts.com%2Fpdf%2FCub_Cadet%2FCub_Cadet_Service_and_Repair_Manuals%2FCub_Cadet_RZT_Series_Zero_Turn_Service_Repair_Manual.pdf&rct=j&q=Cub%20Cadet%20RZT%20mower%20manual%20pdf&ei=sWbITayPEoSbtweSvqmSBA&usg=AFQjCNEAreyaCVOyDN0SaP-6A0cxzha8bA&cad=rja
I have a cub cadet mower 2166, It wont start it keeps blowing the red wire fuse, I thought it was the battery so I bought a new one and cleaned the cables and ground wires, and I didnt see any loose or broken wires. as soon as you turn the key on it blows fuses please help
There is a wire shorted to ground (metal) somewhere…check all the wiring for a bare spot somewhere… this is causing the short…repalce the wire and you will be good…
finding the bad spot is the hard part…
Cub Cadet zero turn:Engine starts and runs about 5 seconds before blowing 20 amp fuse.
You may have a faulty voltage regualtor that is blowing fuse. Have you tried a fuse that is 5 more amps?
Husqvana keeps blowing fuse & when i disconnect a wire from the fuel managment system it doesnt blow
Look at the solenoid on the carb the wire starts to break and short out on the solenoid housing
Turned pto off when finished mowing then turned it back on and it does not come on
Check the wiring to the PTO first. if it is good either the PTO or its inline fuse has failed. try the fuse first as it is much cheaper. if it just blows again you are back to replacing the PTO.
