Basically this is a very simple thing to do as long as you have purchased the correct size of hose. Before removing the fuel line from the tank remove it from the carburetor. then you need a small bent wire or something like it to fish the filter out of the fuel tank. When you have that done you need to remove the filter and just pull the fuel line out. When you install the new line in the tank you need to snip the new fuel hose at an angle to help in the ease of re installing it. Once you get it started you can either reach into the tank with needle nose pliers and pinch it so you can pull it back into the tank. Or you can just twist it in a circular motion until it feeds itself into the tank. The rest is common sense. Install the fuel line filter and put it back into the tank then suck a little gas up the line so the carburetor don’t have to do it. that’ll prime the line and make it easier for the trimmer to start.

Turn but not start – Craftsman 25cc Gas Line Trimmer
ANSWER : If you have spark, then the carberator is plugged, replace it. Pull the spark plug, ground it to the engine, pull rope, whatch plug for spark. if no spark, remove kill switch wire from coil. pull rope agin, if you have spark, kill switch is bad. if stil no spark, you have bad coil.

ANSWER : I had same problem and got a replacement cap at a small engine shop. Seems there is a baffle in the cap to allow the tank to vent and to close off to prevent fuel leaking. Appears rubber baffle deteriorates over time.

The head won,t turn – Craftsman 25cc Gas Line Trimmer
ANSWER : You will need to pull the head off, as it sounds like the cable is off. there should be four bolts/screws, there maybe some in the middle also, gently remove the head(this is the top of the trimmer where the pull cord is, once you have it separated you can turn the cable by hand and the line feeder should rotate, if it does then look inside the head and make sure it is still square and not rounded. or you can pull the line feeder off and pull the cord and see if the cable rotates, whichever you feel comfortable with trying. ANSWER : That means that it’s probably sucking air somewhere between the carb and fuel tank or possibly a restricted feed in the fuel tank.
