KEEP clutch pedal depressed. Rear wheels will be turning. Stomp on brake pedal, rear wheels will stop turning. IF clutch stays stuck, engine will stall.
Frequent causes why the clutch doesn`t disengage correctly include faults in the release system (clutch release bearing, slave cylinder, clutch lever), a jammed pilot bearing, or non-compliance with important installation requirements.
For some vehicles, sticking may mean a clutch cable repair or adjustment. Hydraulic issues may mean replacing seals and gaskets or perhaps replacing the master and/or slave cylinders. Other common repairs include resurfacing or replacing the flywheel.
The clutch cable runs to the clutch fork and bearing. It connects with a small rod. If this rod is missing, the cable won`t attach to the fork and your pedal will go to the floor.
When you want to press the clutch pedal, lift your foot and press down by pushing from your knee. Once you`ve changed gears, release the clutch pedal by anchoring your foot on the floor (the same way you would anchor your right foot to toggle between the brakes and the throttle) and flexing your ankle backwards.

ANSWER : It sounds like something is in the gas tank cutting the fuel supply
