As a general rule of thumb, you should change your oil after 50 hours of use or at least once a year. Regular oil changes keep your lawn mower in top condition, ensuring it runs smoothly and lasts for years to come. With proper maintenance, you can keep your lawn looking great without any hassles.
Change after first 100 hours, then after every 200 hours, if tractor is not equipped with hydraulic filter, or else if tractor is not equipped with hydraulic filter then change after 600 hours. Service after 200 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Service as required.

Engine runs great with no load, but when you throttle quickly or put the deck in gear, it starts missing and lots of black smoke. we have new plugs, new carburator, ignition coils have been changed also. I have 130psi compression on one cylinder and 155 on the other. You can turn off the fuel by pinching the hose or return to idle it will clear up. Barely has enough power to pull inself. Help?

ANSWER : Hello, Typ of oil – best for this engine is SAE 5W-30 and company – maybe Castrol. If you change oil with oil filter you need oil 64 oz if without oil filter – 60oz.
