The level should be at 1″ to 1.5″ from the top of the case. Add the recommended engine oil as needed and Do Not overfill the transaxle.

Together, these attributes result in a long-life fluid that truly holds up over time and extends equipment life. Recommended for all hydrostatic drive systems where the manufacturer recommends SAE 20W-50 fluid. Not recommended for engine crankcase.
Looking at the hydraulic fluid is the simplest way to determine if it may be contaminated. Clean fluid is almost clear to amber in color. A milky, dark, or otherwise abnormal color may indicate the presence of one or more contaminants. A milky appearance usually suggests water contamination.
The correct fuel mixture ratio is 32:1. Note: Gasoline and oil must be premixed in a clean gasoline container.
Appearance: Red fluid. Viscosity: ~46 cSt at 40C.
Hydraulic fluids for hydrostatic application are called hydraulic oils. In the hydrostatic application, applied pressures are high and the flow rates are low. That is why hydraulic oils must be non-compressible fluids that transfer power within a system or piece of equipment.
The hydrostatic transmission transmits energy using hydraulic fluid.

I have a toro gts 6.5hp model 20017. The enginer is overreving a lot. I had changed the carburetor and believe i put the linkages correctly, however i noticed the governor arm is rotated slightly right because the governor link appears to be too long for the arm to be vertical. Is this the source of the problem or is it something else?
ANSWER : The way i set the govenor is, slacken the screw on the engine govenor arm, push the arm fully over to open the throttle wide open, now turn the actual govenor shaft within the arm in the same direction, fully retighten the govenor arm screw,

How do I recharge the battery on a key start mower
ANSWER : Your mower should have come with a charger. if you don’t have a charger take down the make model and serial number and contact your nearest dealer to purchase. also, you could have a dead or damaged battery, charger could be faulty. hope this helps.
