How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Generally speaking, the blade should be tight enough so that it doesn`t move around on its own, but you should be able to move with your hand by applying some pressure.
The lawn mower blade is attached to the blade adaptor with a bolt, and the bolt must be tightly fastened to the blade for the mower to cut correctly. If the bolt becomes loose, the blade will become unbalanced and can eventually break the bolt and fall off.
A perfectly tight mower belt can rotate without slipping off but not cause the engine to over-exert and overheat. If the belt does not slip off while working and is not producing unfavorable sounds that indicate wearing off of the belt, then that is the perfect tightness for it.
A Honda lawn mower blade torque should be 36 to 43 feet per pound using a torque wrench.
Two blades result in more “bites” into the grass, cutting the grass into smaller pieces. The leading upper blade makes a major cut at the front. Then the lower blade makes a smaller cut. The clippings then circulate around inside the deck, with the blades continuing to cut them into smaller and smaller pieces.
Mower blades are spinning 4000 RPMs. An unbalanced blade spinning that fast will cause a significant amount of vibration, which will put stress on yout blade shaft, spindle, and even the engine.
The blade is designed to slip and shear the pins under these conditions, that`s why the correct torque is so important. Tightening the blade bolt dead tight using guesswork won`t allow the blade the critical amount of movement, and so instead your crankshaft bends – engine damaged beyond economic repair.
It may sound great, but did you know that most lawnmower blade nuts aren`t reverse threaded? If you check today`s market, you`ll notice that the majority of the lawnmower blades work in a right-hand thread or a clockwise direction.
According to the website, the bolt that holds the mower blade in place is threaded in the usual way. The process is as follows: tighten it right by turning it clockwise, and loosen it left by turning it left by turning it clockwise.

Honda HRR216 does not start at all ,what could be the problem
ANSWER : Hi arshadmalik5…

Check to make sure you are getting fire/spark at the plug, if so then do the following:Check/Clean/Replace your fuel filter if you have one.If the mower/weedeater/edger is over a couple of years old, then I recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.Sounds like you will need to clean the carburetor or replace your carburetor internal rubber parts like the diaphgram and O rings.Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or using starting fluid and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.Keep in mind that the float for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor or follow the instrucitons you get with the carburetor kit. When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws. But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper. That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their orginal position before you started.
