Unscrew the line covers on both sides and unwrap the old rotary lines from the base of the tensioner and pull them out. Insert one end of the new line through the tensioner from the outside and wrap the end around the base of the tensioner.
Here are two ideas that will reset the mechanism inside the clothesline: If the head is at its lowest point, you may try rotating the handle clockwise and push the head up at the same time. If the head is at its highest point you may try to rotate the handle anti-clockwise and pull the head down at the same time.
Put the locking lever in its second position (see below). This will: tighten the lines more, get more tension in the lines, and prevent sagging. Was this article helpful?
Re-stringing a line isn`t particularly difficult, but it can be time consuming. While we said that you won`t need to clean the line like you would if you just tightened what you`ve got, you might need to clean up the holes in the arms as you thread the cable through.
Restringing clotheslines is a very simple, straightforward process which involves replacing a completely worn out line with a fresh one. This can be done using just a few basic tools and can be accomplished quickly if you get the steps right so you can avoid having to spend on restring service/rewire service.
One of the most common issues with rotary washing lines is the sagging of the clothesline. The sagging is caused by over-stretching of the clotheslines which leads to a drooping of the line when washing is hung up.
Clothesline tensioner. A clothesline tightener is a locking mechanism that keeps the clothesline taut. Most clotheslines are sagging to much and the laundry risks hitting the ground. Of course, you can tighten the clothesline by loosening the knots at one end and tightening it up and tying new knots.
Wear and tear over the years can leave your clothes line looking a bit on the saggy side, but don`t panic. Replacing the line is much simpler than it looks – even if you have a retractable unit. And it`s much cheaper than buying a new model.
Screw the heavy-duty hooks into the holes. Slip the end of the rope through the loop on the line tightener. To secure, make a bowline knot: Make a loop in the rope, bring the end of the rope up through the loop, around the standing part of the rope, then back down through the loop. Pull to secure.

Need to restring spool – Husqvarna 28cc Gas Line Trimmer
The spool should come off pretty easily. Make sure you go with some of that green line, I put that on my Stihl FS 90 R and it whacks through anything, also lasts a very long time.
How to restring my weedeater. it’s a poulan pro 25cc.
Pull the spool straight off of the machine. There are arrows on the bottom of the spool indicating the winding direction. Also, there are holes in the spool. Place the line in the hole just enough to hold it while you are winding the line. Not too far, say 1/8″.
Wind the outer spool first, and put the end in the notch when the spool is full. Leave about a 6″ tail and cut the line. Now wind the inner spool, and place the line in the notch that is 180 degrees from the first line’s notch. Leave about a 6″ tail, and cut this line off. Now, turn the spool toward the machine. While holding the spool, thread both tails of line through the grommets on the machine head, and work the spool onto the head. The tails should feed out the grommets as you do this. Seat the spool, you’ll feel it click into place. Tug on the ends of the line to pull the line out of the notches. You’re done!

Im pretty sure i have the same trimmer, take the spool off, take all the cord out of it, now look closely at the bumper, u should see an arrow, find the halfway and fold it so it 2 peices, dont cut it, and rewind the cord, ull see clips on the bumper thats for when ur finished itll hold the line back in place so u can put it on without hassling with the cords, once u get the bolt on and tightened, give those 2 cords a good pull and they will pop out of the clips and u should be good to go, if this doesnt help ya, there is a tutourial on fixing these on youtube.com
