Simply turn the sharpener upside down so the blade falls out. You may have to give it a little shake. Hold the sharpener close to the table so the blade doesn`t bounce when it comes out. Do not try to dig the blade out with your finger.

The easiest way to remove pencil marks from surfaces is by using a pencil eraser. You can also use an all purpose cleaner or baby wipes. Depending on the surface, a liquid detergent could also be used to remove the marks made by a pencil.
these shouldn`t be hard to take off, especially on brand-new pencils. you can usually find brightly colored ferrules, as shown in the image above, on themed or seasonal pencils. you may have to tug a little to get them off. if you`re having trouble, wiggle them a little and they should come right off.
If you have a utility knife, x-acto knife, or pair of scissors available, you should be able to sharpen your pencil with little effort. Simply scrape the edges of your pencil along the sharp edge of any of these tools. If you use scissors, open them as wide as they`ll go.
Choose a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the head on the screw, then put the bit in the drill and tighten. Make sure the drill is in reverse and apply firm pressure to the screw head and start the drill. Once it bites there`s a good chance that it will remove the screw.
Knife sharpeners do wear out, but only after a while. It can take years or even decades for a sharpener to stop working, and that`s usually because it hasn`t been used correctly. With proper care, a knife sharpener can last several decades.

Even the adjustable ones are not well suited to all knives. Electric pull through sharpeners remove way too much metal and shorten the life of your knife by years. Ceramic wheel sharpeners tend to take chips and chunks out of thin Japanese blades.
