If you want to determine the size or required air flow, use this formula: The dimension of your workshop (length x width x height) times the number of air exchanges per hour (ideally 6-8) divided by 60. This will give you an indication in cubic metres per minute, an indication stated on air filters.
Lift the back of the range hood filter up, inside the vent hood. Some range hoods have handles on the baffle filters, but not all. If your range hood filter has handles, grip them and lift the filter inside the vent hood. If your hood doesn`t have handles, use two hands to carefully lift the filter.
Filtration depends on pore sizes, the smaller the pores the more particles it can screen out, but it also takes more energy to force the liquid through it. Pore sizes can be as small as . 01 μm (μm=micrometer), small enough to stop viruses from passing through, but smaller proteins can still get through.
Some manufacturers can even customize the filters for you to fit perfectly when you or your HVAC team puts everything together. Simply put, yes, you can cut an air filter if you know what you are doing, and if the filters you use will not become too weak from the cutting.
Gently pull out the mesh filters from the water supply intakes using a pair of pliers. And rinse them under running water until they are clean.
It`s a bad idea to use your HVAC system without an air filter because your system wouldn`t be able to remove airborne particles and pollutants from your indoor air space. However, if you need to run your system without an air filter, you shouldn`t run it longer than six hours.
The dirty air filter restricts the air supply to the engine causing unburned fuel to form a soot residue that accumulates on the spark plug. This fouls the spark plug(s) and decreases their ability to deliver the spark needed for the combustion process.
Without a functional air filter, dirt and debris can easily enter the turbocharger, causing extreme damage. To make things worse, metal from the failed turbocharger can find its way into the engine, circulating throughout the system. This can result in complete engine failure.

I have air bubbles in pump and junk is returning back into the pool. the pump and the filter are both brand new as is the skimmer. there are no leaks that i can see but there is a funnel formed in the skimmer when the pump is running which causes air to be sucked into the pump. any ideas?
ANSWER : It sound like there is damage to the collectors in the bottom of the filter caused during installation. The collectors at the bottom of the filter are quite delicate and could easily be damaged when adding new sand or other filter media. The collector housing should also be bonded as sand can return through the gaps to the pool. Turn the valve to recirculate and you should see that after a minute or so debris will stop coming out. If this happens then its definitely the filter collectors.
